Keep on Truckin- You are more valuable as you grow older!

Our 52 Dodge Pickup is once again out on the road this summer. We get so many people waving and honking, giving us a thumbs up and plenty of conversation when we park. Mom's stop their little boys who look up big eyed and a little confused, for most of them have only seen such a truck in a book. The truck has been in the family for all 64 years it has been on the road and still only has 60,000 miles on it. 

The other day we took the truck to the gym because my other car had a check engine light on. It turns out I had a gas cap leaking. The truck still has its first gas cap. It runs on regular oil and regular gas. It always starts and stops. Our truck may be much older than the cars on the road today but it is a far better vehicle. I do not believe that any of the other cars we have owned in the last fifteen years will be around more than 20 years. TOPS. 

I love utility and purpose. I respect efficiency and economy. I appreciate talent and quality. So to all of you who read my blog as you transition in your life from one thing to another., I believe in you. You are more valuable as your knowledge grows and your talent deepens.
