My father always used to tell me:
"?? ??? ???? ?? ??? ???"
which translates to, “Anything is better than nothing.”
it’s a simple but powerful reminder that even the smallest effort matters.
Consistency is often seen as this hard, rigid discipline—something that requires unwavering focus and determination. We imagine it as showing up, day in and day out, doing the same thing over and over again, like a well-oiled machine. And sure, in theory, that sounds strong and admirable. But here’s the thing: in real life, consistency isn’t about being a robot.

In practice, consistency is about being adaptable. It’s about rolling with the punches, knowing when to switch gears, and still making progress no matter how crazy life gets. When time’s tight, you don’t need to push yourself through a two-hour workout or write five pages of a report. You can shrink the task—do a 10-minute stretch or jot down a few ideas. When your energy is low, find the simpler version of what you need to do. The key is to just keep going, even if it looks different from what you originally planned.
It’s not about being rigid; it’s about finding ways to show up, no matter the circumstances. Your habits don’t need to be carved in stone—they can and should evolve with your day. It’s not a failure if you scale down or modify the plan; it’s smart. What really matters is that you keep moving forward. Each step, no matter how small, keeps you on track.
Adaptability isn’t the opposite of consistency. In fact, it’s at the very heart of it. Consistency doesn’t mean doing the same thing every day in the same way. It means never stopping, even when life throws obstacles your way. It’s the art of staying the course, adjusting as needed, and still making progress—even when things don’t go exactly to plan.
