Keep Seeking the Higher Goal

Keep Seeking the Higher Goal

Life has a way of showing us that even what seems like failure can be a catalyst for something extraordinary. Milk that sours doesn’t end its journey—it transforms into yogurt and then cheese, each more valuable than the last. Grapes that turn sour evolve into wine, cherished far more than grape juice.

Mistakes aren’t the end of the road; they’re part of the process. Alexander Fleming didn’t set out to change the world when he accidentally left bacteria out to grow mold, but his "mistake" gave us penicillin and saved countless lives. That’s the power of embracing imperfections—they don’t define us, but how we grow from them does.

Recently, I found myself reflecting on patience and timing. For Christmas 2024, I wished for snow—a "White Christmas". It didn’t come. Instead I was a little disappointed. Then yesterday, January 3rd, 2025 as I was driving home, it happened. Snow fell all around me, and in that moment, I felt like a child again, caught in the magic of a snow globe.

It was a gift—not on my schedule, but exactly when it was meant to be. That snowfall reminded me of an important truth: we don’t always get what we want when we want it, but life has a way of delivering at just the right time.

So, if you’re struggling with mistakes, waiting for something, or feeling stuck, remember this: every sour moment is a chance for transformation. Learn from the missteps. Trust the process. And when the moment finally arrives, it will feel like the most beautiful, unexpected gift.

Here’s to patience, resilience, and the magic of timing. ???

Joy, thank you for sharing. I too was on the roads Friday evening when it started to snow and like you experienced that same childlike wonder. I rolled down my window and despite the coldness of the wind whipping in, without thought, I extended my arm out to catch snowflakes in my hand. In the moment it was a true sense of living and the reminder of the simplicity of life‘s beauty and magic. Through my faith and spirituality, I believe in the divine timing of things. I have learned to trust that what is meant for us will find us in Gods timing not ours and the timing is not always ideal according to our schedule and plans. In that belief is also the understanding that when the opportunity is presented it is up to us to decide what we do with it, whether to accept the gift that has been given. That is a true testament to our trust and faith in the process. Life is a beautiful journey.
