T - Minus 334 Days
Look. Numbers don't lie. It's the second day of the fifth week of the year. You think it's February 1, but you're really on the 32nd day of a routine. Many people are already taking a vacation or needing a break. I used to be the same way clobbered by year end and the stress of the holidays only to sprint out January mentally and emotionally out of gas.
I ran across Rick Pitino this morning and remembered whether he had a very talented team with lots of skilled players or a young group with nothing but heart, he always pressed. Nope his NBA players didn't like it - until their opposition didn't either. It's an important lesson because when you challenge and measure each day, then you're no longer constantly rocked by problems with no direction or hope.
If I get bit by a spider my face turns beet red and swells double. I call it my spidey sense because I have an intuition for future events and people's true motivations. However feelings are useless at realizing patterns and results. Lots of people have put in many more miles or steps, but few have climbed as many floors. You'd like to see a steady 60 flights per day, but it's based upon other pressures and time constraints.

Teams phone system is in, costume in hand, and now I have to press forward on the headshot and book cover. Yesterday was a scramble with Delta moved today and other actions items behind today. All I know is I offer a bridge for the staff to learn and execute. You make think you just survived January, but it's time to glance at the scoreboard because you just scored and now keep pressing.
Daily mission:?Complete at least one important thing today.
