Keep Our Deployed Heroes & Their Families in Your Thoughts

Keep Our Deployed Heroes & Their Families in Your Thoughts

The world continues to be a dangerous place.? There will be approximately 175,000 US military personnel either deployed or stationed overseas this holiday season.

?

As we gather with family members to celebrate the joy of the holiday season, please take a moment to extend your thoughts to those who won't be home for the holidays.? Let's not forget the immense sacrifices made by our current and past servicemen and women. Their dedication and resilience deserve our sincere appreciation. As we exchange gifts and share laughter, let's send our thoughts and prayers to those deployed, letting them know that their service is not only recognized but deeply valued.

?

Most days when you're deployed are pretty much the same, but missing out on the holidays is always tough.? Some are away from home for the holidays for the first time.? It's especially hard for those with children - those missed celebrations can never be fully repaid.?

?

The impact to the family members they leave back home is also tough.? Most of us know of parents, wives, kids or other relatives that have a hero that is now overseas.? They are also sacrificing and paying a price as well.? The empty seat at the table is both a sense of extreme pride and heartbreak at the same time.? As you see them around work or town, please take a moment to express your deep gratitude for not only what their hero is doing for all of us, but also the personal sacrifice and impact it has on their entire family.

?

To all the current and past service members, and their families, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your commitment and sacrifice. You give so we can enjoy the spirit of the season, surrounded by the freedom and joy that your sacrifices make possible.? As we gather with our own families, let's carry a sense of gratitude in our hearts for those who stand guard far from home and for those who await their return.? A simple moment of reflection, a silent prayer, or a kind thought can bridge the distance and connect us with those who are serving in distant lands.? May they all come home safe and sound.
