Keep our children safe

Growing up with migrant parents, and coming from a family with a low socio background and education, life has been a challenge at times. I was raised with good values. My parents would say to stay true to myself, and work hard, but also keep my eyes wide open and be safe.
When I made the decision to become an Early Childhood Educator, I made a commitment to my code of ethics, where the protection and wellbeing of each child is my professional responsibility.?
As a business owner of Decorati , leading a small team of female employees and working with families and children, and as an Early Childhood advocate, I am honoured to advocate for?“National Child Protection Week”.?
This campaign is one of the most critical in my eyes.
I have reached out to fellow community members to raise awareness together. We cannot advocate alone. We must work collectively and collaboratively with this message.
This year National Child Protection Week will continue to champion the message ‘Every child in every community needs a fair go’.?
This message captures the essence of National Child Protection Week which aims to promote a safe and supported life for every child, now and into the future.?
I urge you to be a voice for the children of our generation, build relationships with parents, speak up if you see something unsafe, and visit the NAPCAN (National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect) website https://www.napcan.org.au/
Together we can prevent child abuse and neglect before it starts.
