KEEP LEARNING

We connect learning with formal education at school, college and university to get a job or run a business. We apparently acknowledge the importance of learning from school, college and university. It is also true that resulting education may maximize our potential to find better, more satisfactory job and help us to be successful in our chosen career. But learning has no limitation. Schooling is just one type of learning.  Being well-educated is not necessarily the key to employment. A good student might not be a good teacher or good professional. Bill Gates dropped out of college and it certainly did not hold him back. So, resulting education is important for success but not key to success. Education can be a process through which we pass on the knowledge, values and skills from one generation to another. Learning can be defined as the acquiring new skills, knowledge and values. Learning is knowledge gained through experience. No one is hundred percent perfect in his position. But we need to do better. Striving to be perfect will kill any action we may take. Rather we need to pay attention how to be better. To be better one, there is no alternative way except learning.  There is many other learning to further our knowledge and develop the skills we need throughout our life. However, learning throughout the life is important for two reasons; one is personal development and another is professional development.

Our continuous learning is important to keep our brain active, which prevent us from boring and enable to enjoy our life more colorful at any age. Learning always creates a positive attitude, which keeps our mind fresh and body as well.

Employers always seek for well balanced candidates with transferable skill. While we are employed, we need to take advantages of training, coaching or professional learning so that we can apply it in our professional development. From the financial point of view, a more highly skilled and knowledgeable worker is an asset to any company.   As learning is a continuous process, with training or coaching, we can read reference books. Age is not factor to start learning.

 Leadership style in the 21st century has been changed. Leadership is a mix of knowledge, values, skills and behavior. A successful leader makes an effort to learn and practice skills. Today’s leader is not centralized or focused on one point. Leadership roles are all around us, not just in work environment. Leader needs skills in working with others on a one to one or group basis and a wide range of tools in their armory to deal with a wide range of situations. As learning enhances knowledge and skill, we need continuous learning. People who often connect learning shall happier individually and contribute more values to their organizations. So, if we find career success, we should have the habit of being curious and interested in a variety of topics. Though it is logical to assume that getting the work done is our ultimate goal, but we have to understand properly what the work is about. From career point of view, if we choose not to learn continuously, we end up being stale in both our skills and abilities.  As the strategy of organization is changed time to time, we need to constant update to understand the next set of skills. Otherwise, we have to face problem immensely. For these reasons, the concept of organizational development is often used to represent the ability of an organization to continuously improve.  Continuous learning is discipline built on both academic and real world practice, which improve the effectiveness of individuals, groups and organizations. It is proved that organizations that are enthusiastic for continuous learning are doing well in their business.

Learning is a continuous process, practical Field learning is more important to handle the adverse situation. those people who only decelerate speech by pamphlet and bookish they are per away from the practical field learning.
