Keep learning!

Keep learning!

Discovering something new is so important!

There are numerous reasons why learning something new is so so important. They could be:

  1. Personal growth
  2. Adaptability
  3. Mental stimulation
  4. Improved confidence
  5. Career advancement
  6. Expanded perspectives
  7. Enhanced creativity
  8. Increased problem-solving skills
  9. Better memory retention
  10. Lifelong learning mindset

Whatever the reasons, any time is a good time to START LEARNING! Hazel Theocharous

There are many different ways too to learn.... You need to find the best way for you, but what is true is that practicing what you learn is Ultra Important as is Learning in Smaller Chunks of Time not lengthy sessions.

So what are some of the best ways to learn?

Firstly, you need to work out:

  1. your reasons for wanting to learn something new
  2. what do you want to learn
  3. what availability there is for you to learn and how
  4. if you can set aside time for this learning

Secondly, you should look at works best for you to learn...

  • in person 1-2-1 training where you do the work while learning
  • group work sessions / workshops where you learn with other people
  • online learning sessions at your own pace
  • working through books / online guides and then testing your theory
  • on the job training where you put your knowledge to the test
  • online videos / podcasts / audio books

Thirdly, remember that each of us have a way which normally works better for us:

  • Visual learning: Learning through visual aids such as charts, graphs, diagrams, videos, or animations. If you are a visual learner you usually understand and retain information better when it's presented in a visual format.
  • Auditory learning: Learners prefer to learn through listening. If you are an auditory learner, you normally comprehend information best when it's presented verbally, such as through lectures, discussions, podcasts, or audiobooks. You benefit from repeating information out loud or discussing concepts with others.
  • Kinesthetic/tactile learning: If you are a Kinesthetic learner, you learn best through hands-on experiences and physical activities. You prefer to engage with materials through touch, movement, and manipulation. Kinesthetic learners often excel in activities like experiments, role-playing, building models, or using interactive simulations.
  • Reading/writing learning: If you are a reading/writing learner you prefer to learn effectively through written language. You comprehend and retain information best when you read or write about it. You would prefer activities such as reading textbooks, taking notes, writing essays, or engaging in written discussions.

Which one of these learning styles sounds more like you?

You could have more than one style, but working towards your preferred style will ensure you are learning to your best ability.

So, what will you be LEARNING now?

There is never a better time than NOW!

For me, I will be taking some courses on Neurodiversity as this is an area which really interests me and I feel is such an important way I can work with and impact others as I continue my career.

I look forward to hearing from you.
