Keep The Imagination Flame Alive

Imagination is an inner resource you can draw upon in every facet of life.?

"Imagination is the ability to form mental pictures or ideas in the mind. Everybody can imagine, but imagination becomes powerful when you turn it into manifestation. Every material thing that was created by humans was first imagined.

The creation begins in the mind before it becomes physical." -Albert Einstein.

The inventor of the car imagined it before inventing it.

The inventor of the internet imagined it before inventing it.

The inventors of the aeroplane imagined it before inventing it.

The inventor of the mobile phone imagined it before inventing it etc.

Imagination is the beginning of creation. You can create most of the things you can imagine. Mental pictures and ideas should be used to make an impact. They exist for a purpose. Nevertheless, people use their imaginations for different purposes. Some use it to invent, some to set up a business, some to solve issues, some to help others, some to do evil etc. The mind has an eye that can see what doesn’t exist in the world. What you see physically can be seen by others but what you imagine cannot be seen by others but you, because it’s in your mind. However, there are two kinds of imagination: positive imagination and negative imagination.

I define positive imagination as the ability to imagine the things you desire. And this is something you should do regularly. You should imagine everything you desire. The beautiful part of imagination is that you can form any picture or idea you want in your mind. If you want a car, you should imagine the car brand you want, the colour, the model, the specific date you want it and imagine yourself driving that car. If you want a house, you should create it in your mind, imagine how you want it to be designed, the location, the year you want the house to be built or bought, and imagine yourself living in that house. If you want a job, you should imagine yourself getting your dream job, and working. If you want to marry, you should imagine yourself finding a partner, and getting married etc.

I remember a time when I was looking for a job before completing my degree, and I began to imagine myself doing an online interview, and working in the city and organisation I wanted to work in. Guess what? A few days after completing my degree, the organisation I wanted to work for called me for an online interview. After the interview, I continued to imagine myself working there. And a week later, the organisation sent me a job offer. Wow, isn’t that impressive? That’s the power of imagination… “You get what you see.” If you can imagine it, you can make it happen. I’ve been experiencing the benefits of positive imaginations and I can assure you that it works effectively but you need to believe it. Anytime I desire something, I imagine myself having it first and I get it in real life. It doesn’t happen overnight though. If you imagine yourself owning a house, do not expect to own it the following day. It will take time. You have to be patient after using positive imaginations.

You may spend at least 15 minutes a day imagining the things you desire until you get them. Using positive imaginations will make you feel good and believe that you can get the things you desire and imagine. Then your unconscious mind will solidify your belief and you will start acting based on it unconsciously. A certain force will push you to do the things you need to do to turn your positive imagination into manifestation.

Negative Imagination

Negative imaginations are the negative mental pictures and ideas that come to our minds. Most of the negative imaginations come from fear. Anytime you are afraid, your fear will manifest through your imaginations. For instance, If you cross the road and you are afraid that a car hits you, you’ll imagine yourself being hit by a car. If you are afraid to fail an exam, you’ll imagine yourself failing it, if you’re afraid to die, you’ll imagine yourself dying, if you’re afraid to get sick, you’ll imagine yourself being sick etc. If you are afraid before sleeping, your fear will manifest through negative imaginations and you’ll have a sleepless night or nightmares. In other words, fear is one of the causes of sleepless nights and nightmares. Negative imaginations can also come through hatred. If you hate someone, it’s more likely that you’ll imagine bad things to happen to that person. Every crime or murder was first committed in the mind. Murderers imagine themselves killing before they kill in real life. Hatred causes negative imaginations and if you don’t know how to fight negative imaginations, you’ll act based on your hatred and make a big mistake that you may regret all your life.

Negative imaginations also come from the things you see and hear. If you always listen to negative people or negative news you’ll begin to have negative imaginations. For example, several people around the world are listening to the news on the Coronavirus outbreak, therefore they are panicking and some are even depressed. Some people imagine themselves being contaminated or dying, and this creates fear and depression. If you always watch negative videos such as horror movies, negative news etc., you’ll begin to have negative imaginations. As I said before, what you see is what you get, therefore if you always have negative imaginations, it’s more likely that they will manifest in your life. You must get rid of negative imaginations if you want to have a positive life.

7 Ways To Fight Negative Imagination

You should fight negative imaginations with positive affirmations. For instance, if you see yourself dying, declare that you’ll live longer. If you see yourself being ill, declare that you can never be ill etc.

- Stop listening to negative news

- Stop watching negative videos

- Stop hanging out with negative people

- Listen to positive music

- Do not fear anything

- Read Positive Thinking books or articles

Using Your Imagination Will Help You Achieve Your Goals and Get What You Desire.

“What You See Is What You Get.”

But, what happens when adults tap into the creative power of their imagination?

That’s a question worth asking.
