Hi LinkedIn Family! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
It has been a couple months since I have posted a newsletter. The reason for this is I have been taking care of my pregnant wife. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy last week! He is so adorable and is the best thing to happen to me. My whole world changed. Things became real when I first held him in my arms and looked into his beautiful eyes. I knew at that very moment that I would be willing to give anything and do anything for him. How many of you can relate to that feeling?
Given the circumstances, it is only appropriate that I talk about not giving up and realizing what and who we are fighting for in this life.
Life is Hard, but Keep Fighting
Let's face it, life is hard sometimes. Whether there is stress at the job, stress at home and/or are dealing with health issues for ourselves or others, we can feel overwhelmed. It can be so difficult to maintain our peace and sanity during times of struggle and hardship. But we must not give up. We know who we are fighting for; our loved ones. When we realize who we are fighting for, we can survive anything!
Our loved ones depend on us to provide emotional, financial and other forms of support. During this holiday season, we must remember how blessed we truly are. We have family and friends to support us. We have a roof over our head. Most of us are in our right mind, and know where our next meal is coming from. You may not be where you want to be, but it could be far worse. Be grateful for where you are and what you have.
Be Grateful
On my way to work in the morning, I have a verbal conversation with God. I verbally express my gratitude for the life I have and the ability to provide for my family. I thank God for another day to get it right. I ask God to forgive me for any bad decisions I have made consciously or subconsciously and ask for grace for myself, my family and the entire world. This attitude of gratefulness eases my worries and provides me with hope each day. I have had more clarity in my thoughts and actions, which has led to having very productive days.?
Note: I am not here to preach to anyone. We are all responsible for our own beliefs. I am just sharing what is working for me. If you have other views, that is great. Please share with the group to spark some healthy discussion.
Reach Out. You are Not Alone
And if anyone is feeling bad or having 'bad' thoughts, please reach out to someone. You are not alone. Therapy is a gift. Please use it or other resources. It is okay to not be okay. But please, continue to fight. So many millions of things in the universe had to align for you to be here. You are a big deal! You are important. You are needed and you are loved. As a person who has dealt with depression for many years, I am open to talk to anyone who needs a friend or advice. Please DM me. I do not care who you are. I am willing to help.?
Well that is it for now. Stay Strong. Stay Blessed. Stay Positive!
Thought of the Day
"If you do not like where you are in life, decide to change. Go towards the things that make you afraid.
Bad write? Start writing. Afraid of school? Take a class. Don’t like to exercise? Go to the gym. ? Achievement is normally disguised as struggle."
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!?
Best,?
