at KEDGE - Raise your cultural awareness!

On the third week of september, 50 students just arrived in Bordeaux at Kedge Business School from 23 different countries (From Chile, Mexico, to Norway, Sweden, Italy, Greece….) joined an exciting one week onboarding cross-cultural program.

After two days in class teaching multicultural communication and teamwork, we turned to the main characteristics of French Culture. We closed the course with a group brainstorming on how to adapt to France and its culture. ??When in Rome do as the Romans do….??

Among the best ideas coming up?: look up French behaviors to avoid surprises, educate yourself on French History and French news to take part in conversations, sign up for a French language course and set goals on learning French every day, share accomodation with French people, follow office conventions and rituals like connecting on coffee breaks and greeting everyone, and lots more….
