A new Cumulative update KB5050021 for Windows 11 Version 23H2 is available for download. This is part of the December 2024 Patch Tuesday updates, advance Windows 11 build 22631.4602 deliver critical bug fixes, security enhancements, and overall performance improvements. This update also addresses several key issues in Windows 11 version 23H2, recommended to install for the best experience.

Also, Microsoft added an IMPORTANT note that states, the Home and Pro editions of Windows 11, version 22H2 reach end of service on October 8, 2024. To continue receiving security and non-security updates after October 8, 2024, Microsoft recommends Upgrade to the latest version of Windows 11.

The latest Windows 11 update introduces helpful features and resolves several bugs for improved functionality.
The system tray now displays a more compact date and time layout. It’s less space-consuming and looks cleaner. If you prefer this new layout, you can enable it by right-clicking the date and time in the system tray, choosing “Adjust date & time,” and toggling the “Show abbreviated time and date” option.
You can now access your phone’s storage in File Explorer without needing to plug it in via a USB cable. This wireless feature makes transferring small files (such as images and documents) more convenient. To use it, connect your phone with the “Phone Link” app and enable “Show mobile devices in File Explorer” in the settings.
When you click on certain system apps like the Snipping Tool, you’ll now see more app-related options in the context menu. This adds some quick actions, such as using a timer for screenshots in Snipping Tool.

Task Manager now uses modern dialog boxes, bringing it closer to the refreshed design of Windows 11. Additionally, the app now supports dark mode across all pages, including the Users page, where you can disconnect users with a more intuitive interface.
