kaZING: Why I Joined

I've been trying to solve a BIG simple problem for many years. As a homeowner, how can I get the help, equipment, and supplies I need for a project to arrive when I need it too?!? To arrive where I need it. And to be within my budget. Ever tried to get a utility trailer, some strong guys, and a few tools and supplies at the same place/time? I have and it can take you many wasted painful hours of coordination and it can cost a small fortune. Or just go with a big expensive company to do it. Nope.

My alternatives were to buy the trailer and equipment, then go online to find the helpers, and maybe order some of what I need online, but usually have to head to Home Depot or Lowe's. I don't want to own a lot of equipment like my father and grandfather did. Our yard was littered with tons of stuff that sat idle and rusting most of the time. I want access to what I need for the time and place I need it. And I've been renting from local retail rental companies for years and it is always a hassle to find what I need when I need it. 

About five years ago I started envisioning an app that could bring together what I needed to get a job done. I've watched how the TaskRabbit’s, Thumbtacks, Handy's apps have gotten helpers to show up but most of those guys want to put together new furniture, but not lift and shift heavy stuff. I needed helpers that are willing to work hard beside me and willing to get dirty and sweat like I do. 

It seemed like if it was to be, it was up to me to build what I needed. So when I researched who was out there trying to solve this problem, I only found one person: Jason Garland, a brilliant young entrepreneur who started working on this problem and actually architected and built a platform to solve it. So as any good product manager will do when faced with a build/buy/partner situation, I decided to partner and joined Jason on this journey to solve the homeowner's biggest simple problem.
