Kaysun's Injection Molding Insights Newsletter | October 2024
October is traditionally recognized as Manufacturing Month in Wisconsin, and the month isn’t an arbitrary choice. Manufacturing Day (MFG DAY) is celebrated on the first Friday in October by government proclamation, and it dates back a little over a dozen years.
MFG DAY focuses on the importance of manufacturing and the contributions manufacturers have made to the nation, economy, and labor force. It’s well-deserved recognition, and it gives manufacturers a chance to reinvigorate interest in the trades and the careers they offer. As the labor market continues to struggle in industry, MFG DAY is a great tool in helping to bridge the gap.
Historically, manufacturers have been foundational to this country and we continue to have a place in its future. MFG DAY reminds me of how proud I am to be a Made in the USA manufacturer, and I encourage you to give yourselves a well-earned pat on the back, too.
