Kawasaki's EV motorcycle prototype launched this year - Know the updates of the prototype?
Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Ducati, etc are some of the biggest names in the motorcycling world. Their vehicles have primarily been using IC engines. Recently, Kawasaki introduced its whole new electric motorcycle prototype for Kawasaki lovers to get the riding fever over a new form of its ICE creations coming in by the next year.
This happened at the Intermot (an international motorcycle fair conducted between the 4th and 10th of October in Cologne, Germany)?
It all started when Hiroshi Ito the president of Kawasaki said that they are planning on bringing 10 unique electric bike models to the industry. This is the first step in replacing the ICE motorcycles of Kawasaki with electric bikes for the millennials and the sports industry within the next decade.?
Kawasaki Motors also said that 10 new EV vehicles are lining up in production. They are likely to be launched by 2025. These would be a mixture of completely electric and hybrid models.?
When Kawasaki came second in the 43rd Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race, they gave a hint about the upcoming electric motor vehicle by Kawasaki in Japan.?
As Kawasaki introduced the prototype at the Intermot, Masaya Serunu the Managing director of Kawasaki Motors Europe says ‘this would be a confined base model for the electric motorcycle that's getting ready at Kawasaki motors.

Kawasaki’s new electric motorcycle prototype has many features that are similar to its Z series. This middleweight EV adopts trellis-type chassis technology which has already been used in the previous Ninja and Z family models of Kawasaki and the battery is positioned underneath the motorcycle. The size of the compact EV is similar to the Ninja 650. The company hasn’t revealed details about motor and battery specifications, battery capacity, range, and charging time.?
To be more accurate, the new prototype is finely crafted from the specifications of Kawasaki's Z250 from the Z series. This motorcycle pushes out 14.8 - 15 hp. Tires are crafted with specifications for track-focused performance and the disk brakes at both ends give good vehicle control for the rider.?

This production model is yet to launch in the international markets by 2023. But, this information has not been officially announced?by the manufacturer. The company has also not revealed any technical specifications of the electric vehicles yet.
With this model, Kawasaki steps into making EVs and also marks a milestone in its vision?to achieve complete EV transformation with its vehicles over 2035. With that said, by 2035, they would have hybrid plugin electric vehicles (HEVs) and pure electric vehicles (EVs), despite it having an ICE-based vehicle manufacturing history for years.?
