Kaunas Conservatory Chamber Orchestra (Lithuania) - performance June 11th 2022 (Kerkschip)
On behalf of “The Friends of the National Maritime Museum” and our colleagues from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, we hereby inform you that the Kaunas Conservatory Chamber Orchestra (Lithuania) will be performing on June 11th 2022 on the iconic “Kerkschip” (Houtdok-Noordkaai 25 / Haven 25A te Antwerpen).
Kaunas (Lithuania) is one of the European Capitals of Culture this year. In this context, it is an exceptional privilege to be able to present this orchestra who will perform work by: Gruodis, von Gluck, Kapp, Bruch, Grieg, Vasks, Bock, Britten.
Conductors Laurynas Jakutis and Herman Engels, who is also a member of “The Friends of the National Maritime Museum”, are the driving forces behind this event.
Soloists will also perform from the three Baltic States: Lithuania / Latvia / Estonia.
If you would like to attend, you are expected on board between 4.45 pm and 5.15 pm where you will be welcomed with a house aperitif combined with a hearty amuse-bouche.
After the performance, a dinner will be served in the ship's restaurant, consisting of:
Lobster cappuccino with fennel

Sea bass fillet accompanied by samphire on a velvet bed of lobster potato mousseline and roasted tomato cherise
Or
Milk veal chops with young spring vegetables, rosemary potatoes finished with a Dijonaise sauce

Pineapple carpaccio with pink pepper, merengue, raspberry sorbet and mint

House wine and coffee/tea are included
The total price for this event, performance and dinner is 95 euros per person for members of “The Friends of the National Maritime Museum”and 110 euros per person for non-members.
