Katxupa Riku to Celebrate!

We kicked off our official book launch for the Cape Verdean Creole - English Dictionary a.k.a "The Precious" in Cabo Verde on 2/19/16 with an outside reception at Prasinha Skola Grandi.  It was  followed by a reception the next day at Donald Heflin US Ambassador of Cabo Verde's house, hosted by the US Embassy of Cabo Verde.  To close out our amazing weekend, on 2/21/16 International Mother Language Day, we celebrated with a "Katxupada" at our family's home. I must say that it had to be one of the best "Katxupa" dishes I have ever had and I got a special version of "Katxupa Riku" made just for me.
