Living in a highly digital world, the e-commerce space is constantly evolving and growing. Since the pandemic, businesses have rushed to capitalise on people's desire to live with convenience at their fingertips. This has driven an increase in apps that promise everyday essentials boosted to ultimate convenience like groceries delivered within minutes. This growing trend is changing the way we operate within the digital and non-digital worlds.?

How can design help gear websites for conversion??
The user experience is paramount for conversion. Good design will capture people's attention from the beginning with an impressive homepage (the shop front to the site), and then lead them on a succinct, and smooth journey to their desired destination. Design that prioritises the intended user at every step, in every intricate detail will the conversion game.
How big of a role do you think sustainable web design will play moving forward??
Sustainable solutions are the future. People are becoming increasingly aware of this with the climate crisis before us. Sustainable practices have been widely adopted in the print world, however the digital world is a little slower to jump on board. There are some great sites pioneering this movement and through small adjustments, big changes will be seen. I think we will see an increase of brands taking steps towards this in the near future.
