Is Karma a boomerang coming back to us?

#newdaynewchapter is a Blog narrative started on March 1, 2021 co-founded by Kishore Shintre & Sonia Bedi, to write a new chapter everyday for making "Life" and not just making a "living"
Karma is a subtle code that the Lord uses to register your good and bad actions on your subtle body. The process is so unique that actions of past lives are also kept and some are played out in this life. Some are wiped out in hell and heaven and some continue to follow you until they are played out. When you see a blind, deaf, dumb, lame, ugly, beautiful, retard, know for sure that these are the scars of karma. These are some ways your karma are working out. If this lesson is taught then humanity will be more careful not to incur bad karma, but unfortunately most of the world is ignorant to this concept.
The karmic law says that if you killed a cow then you will be reborn as cows for as many hairs on the cow’s body and be slaughtered. If you only eat the beef you are also implicated but not as the killer. Similarly, if you hurt or kill other living things then you have to suffer in different ways. If you engaged in illicit sex, or gamble, or use intoxicants you will see punishments in this life, in hell, and in your next life. So we can say that karma has a boomerang effect that no one can escape.
Only one who fully surrenders to God[ Krishna] can escape the rigid laws of karma. We know that what you sow is what you reap. This statement itself is the biggest example that karma is a boomerang. If you sow mango seeds & nurture it then mango will grow on that tree not some other fruits. That's one example. Another big example is we all are cutting trees for our benefit of homes so oxygen levels are becoming low, earthquakes, global warming, floods, famines, less rainfall, disbalance in nature etc are happening throughout the world. Our karma has caused all these troubles & we blame god for these problems. This is the biggest example of how stupid we all human beings are.
How you sow, so shall you reap..Karma at any time settle its account..See this example: Kaurava's father Dhritrashtra was wailing for all sons died. In grief he prayed God and manifested... He asked I lost all sons, but why? With Vidoor help I saw my 72 previous births. But no sins found.. Then why such huge pain has fallen on me to bear? God said-- You did not see 73rd birth..when you were king went to hunt. The deer made you chase very long and finally his inside thick bushes.. You lost mind and set all bushes on fire. The deer sneaked away any how..But newly born snake babies were burnt alive...That sins chased you till 73 births and settled it account when the exact time came...Karma never leaves...everyone must have to pay the dues..
My aunt's family was a large one like any Indian family some 80 years back. They were nine siblings. They were poor and survived on monthly remittances sent by the elder 3 sons from wherever they were employed in some cities. My eldest uncle was in an African state earning well. He was married and had two kids and his wife earned well too. He resented the huge family he had to support financially and the fact that there were 3 girls to be given in marriage and the constant demands from the family. He hated his father for not earning well and just adding kids to the family. Remember those days there was no concept of planning families or contraception etc.
Once he delayed sending money to his mom and later wrote a letter saying his wife wasn't keeping well hence the delay in remitting money. My grandmother who was not educated or worldly wise replied inquiring about his wife's health condition and asked if she had conceived again. Remember those days people didn't know better about limiting families. My uncle replied in a very sarcastic and rude manner “we are not dogs to produce kids each year” (meaning like you and dad). Those words seared the heart of my poor grandmother. She and grandpa were saddened but could not shout or curse their own son. They kept quiet.

Years passed and my grandparents also passed away. This uncle amassed a lot of money but now his parents had gone and his siblings kept away from him and his family since they were too wealthy and snooty upper class people and would look down upon the poor relatives. A couple of years later his only daughter ran away with some boy from college. The boy she eloped with did not belong to our caste, region, or language. Remember this happened 50 years ago when it was considered a terrible scandal. Just before this happened my uncle and aunt were boasting of how they wanted to conduct a grand wedding for their daughter and they had earmarked 300 tolas of gold ornaments for her wedding along with a hefty dowry.
After this shock my Uncle got his son married quickly in an arranged setup to a girl of our caste. Over the years the son and daughter in law tried to have kids. They tried treatments, visited temples, went to astrologers, soothsayers, godmen etc. Nothing fructified and they were very upset. Finally after 2 decades of being childless they adopted twin babies, a boy and a girl. They conducted some functions and invited all my mom’s siblings to see the newly adopted babies. My mom saw my uncle holding the adopted babies in his arms and cry brokenheartedly thinking of how badly he treated his own parents and called them “dogs” for producing a huge family. My mom and her siblings would say “not even a single puppy was born to his son”. Now all his amassed wealth that he refused to give his own parents and siblings would be inherited by his adopted grandkids. The irony of it was too saddening for all those who witnessed that scene. So karma comes around in some way or the other in its own time !!
The second instance of karma hitting another uncle was when my grandma was on her deathbed. As in any family, this family also had sibling feuds and enmity etc. Now this uncle felt that his mother was partial and didn't love him as much as she loved the other siblings and over the years there used to be constant accusations and counter accusations and this uncle had totally cut himself off from his family. One day my grandma fell ill and it was evident that her end was nearing. So this uncle made a visit to see her. My grandma was fond of betel leaves and supari and I remember her with reddened teeth and tongue and she always smelt so fresh with the odor of betel leaves and fresh chuna (lime)and supari. So when this son visited her after a long gap, she told him “please buy me some betel leaf and supari” to which he replied “I won't spend a Paisa for you. You have hurt me so much”.
Grandma died shortly after that. A few years later his daughter’s marriage was fixed and we were all invited. This was in Bombay. The wedding was in June. The day before the wedding, the sky was overcast and rains began lashing with hellish fury with thunder and lightning. All of us were getting ready to attend the wedding. We waited for the rain to stop so we could travel but the rains just increased in intensity. The city was flooded like never before and no transport was available anywhere. Trains, buses, taxis etc were at a standstill.
At the wedding venue the cooks had come early and had cooked sumptuous amounts for 2000 people. The priest and the bride and groom and their parents had come early and were present. The electricity was cut off due to heavy flooding and fear of short circuit. The roads leading to the wedding hall were waist deep water with open drains and manholes. Some invitees had to return before reaching the hall due to floods. The wedding was conducted in darkness with just a dozen people and food cooked for 2000 people had to be thrown out. A person who refused to give his own mother one Paisa saw his hard earned money being thrown off in front of him. Nobody could attend the function for which he invited. His parents didn't curse him but nature or God or karma took its due!! Nothing goes unpunished or unrewarded.

2 年Exactly.... Accumulation of Good Karma by thinking and doing good is the only way for our good health and peace of mind and peaceful death. As you very well narrated, I have experienced and also seen many instances / incidents on account of Good Karma and bad Karma as well. I am a strong believer.
