Karl Drais

Karl Drais was born on?April 29, 1785?in Karlsruhe, Germany, and died in Germany on?December 10, 1851?at the age of 66.

As well as being a good forest officer, Karl Drais was also a famous inventor, Karl's famous invention is the bicycle, which is one of the most important inventions in the world today.

Nevertheless, we can say with great confidence that even today, two centuries later, bicycles are still used by half the world's population.

Karl called his invention the Lauf machine, which later became known as the Hobby Horse or Dundee Horse.
