Karen Falcone Says "Never Give Up"

She’s based in Philadelphia, a proud mother to three adult children, and she’s passionate about personal fitness.? Karen Falcone is the 源讯 North America Head for the AWS Alliance and Partnership. ?She is responsible for all the AWS activity in the North America region such as go to market, account engagement, field to field engagement and all KPIs.

Karen showcases the value of the AWS partnership to our busy sales professionals.?“It can be time-consuming to build a partner ecosystem, so I work closely with our Atos colleagues to help them understand how to leverage AWS to support our customers’ cloud strategy and Atos overall digital transformation value proposition,” she says.?

Being Driven

Karen is determined and driven. “Never give up” isn’t just her motto, it’s exactly how Karen manages her personal and professional life. She earned a business administration degree from Villanova University and was accepted into the management training program at a large regional bank.? She quickly immersed herself in her corporate lender role. ?As Karen says, “Lending money to regional companies was the best foundational training; finance and sales were a great combination for success later in life!”

Karen decided to diversify her career after her second child was born. “The tech sector was so interesting to me,” she says. Karen landed a new opportunity with SunGard where she was tasked with establishing a reseller program.

Pivoting Careers

Later Karen accepted an exciting position with SunGard based in London. “I built the EMEA channel organization and established the AWS global partnership and Dell-EMC relationship for them,” she says. The assignment afforded Karen to grow in unexpected ways. Karen led a diverse global team with employees from France, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. “Being in a new country and leading such a multi-cultural team was an incredible growth experience,” she says.

Developing and growing

Karen was selected for the prestigious Atos GOLD program, an accelerated leadership development program. ?Karen took courses at the HEC in Paris, a respected business school. Karen says the professors and curriculum were impressive.? Not only was the GOLD program a great Atos networking tool, but it also showed Karen how strong global companies embrace a multi-cultural workforce.

Balancing Work and Life

Family is a big focus for Karen. “My adult kids continue to amaze me,” she beams. “I’m enjoying the benefit of seeing how they are in the work world—they teach me a lot of things because they have completely different perspectives.”?

Being physically fit is a priority for Karen. She enjoys yoga, hiking in the mountains and spin classes. ?

Traveling is also one of Karen’s favorite pastimes. She’s visited 25 countries with Australia and England as her favorites. ?

Karen is proud of her Italian heritage. “Here’s a fun fact, my cousin Nicholas Pileggi wrote the book which became the movie script for GoodFellas.”? ?

Karen’s tenacity and never give up attitude have contributed to her personal and professional successes.?
