?? I know, I talk about it all the time, but there is an ongoing digital revolution in healthcare around us. During these times, it's crucial to have opportunities to talk with other people, including experts, doctors, nurses, and entrepreneurs, about the opportunities and challenges it brings to us. ??
After attending many medical events, I've realized it's time to stop and think about the types of events we really need nowadays. Let me first summarize the types of medical events and gatherings I know. In the second half of this article, I'd like to suggest a few topics we could discuss together. ?????
1. General Meeting of Doctors and Nurses from Many Hospitals
I enjoy these meetings the most because they provide complex overviews of developments within hospitals. As someone whose entire career is connected to hospitals, these meetings allow me to see progress in many specializations. I've always advocated for merging events for doctors and nurses, believing that gathering together is the best way to move forward. If organizers also manage to invite members of the management, it becomes the best of the best. ????
2. Specialized Congresses for Certain Specializations
Events like those for gastroenterology, cardiology, and acute intensive medicine are meant for specialists. They deliver expert information and detailed developments in each specialization. They are worth joining if you want in-depth knowledge. ??
3. Traditional Trade Fairs of Medical Suppliers
These trade fairs showcase thousands of suppliers from big companies to small businesses and individuals. They provide a nice comprehensive overview of products and services on the market, especially at international fairs. ??????
4. Digital Meet-ups
These meetings are full of digital entrepreneurs working hard to deliver digital solutions for healthcare. They're often full of startups offering real use cases. ????
5. Hybrid Events
Hybrid events try to bring together all stakeholders in healthcare - doctors, nurses, management, patients, and the public. Organizing such events is challenging due to the difficulty in setting an agenda that attracts all stakeholders at once. ????
Topics We Need to Discuss:
A. Reimbursement and Financial Models
We know financial resources are limited, so efficiency is key. The system should focus on results, like healthier people, and emphasize prevention and a healthy lifestyle over the number of treatments and operations. ????
B. Discussion about the New Healthcare
Healthcare is becoming more colorful with tools like apps, VR, AI models, etc. We need platforms for discussions about this phenomenon. ????

C. Efficiency Best Practices and Some Other Cool Stuff
Let's add best practices and tools from other industries into healthcare. It's time for cross-industrial debates to learn from each other. ?????
D. VR, AR, AI, ML and How They Will Help Us
Let's discuss how new technologies like VR in rehabilitation, AI in Radiology, and ML in predictive medicine can be beneficial. We need tangible talks and results! ????
E. Automation and Digitization
It's crucial to minimize administrative work for medical staff to allow them more time with patients. Let's find ways to reduce bureaucratic workload. ????
I want to open a discussion about healthcare conferences. I'd love to learn from you about good healthcare conferences and events.
