Kamala as world leader – seriously?

David Flint I 31 August 2024 I Spectator Australia

In what is probably the most important election in US history, we should recall that not only is an American president being chosen. Providence has decreed that the incumbent is destined not only to lead the West, but also to save it as the most advanced civilisation the world has ever seen.

How extraordinary, then, that never before has a major party’s presidential candidate been as dangerously anti-American and anti-Western, nor as inappropriately prepared for the role, as Kamala Harris.

Government Accountability Institute president, Peter Schweizer, years ago exposed – without legal challenge – what he describes as her ‘long history as a corrupt prosecutor’. That long history goes back to her election as district attorney through a political machine controlled by her Californian lover, Speaker Willie Brown. Her role, says Schweizer, was to close down or neutralise politically inconvenient prosecutions.

More recently, forced to withdraw before the? Democrat presidential primaries as probably the most uninspiring? candidate, she was nonetheless chosen by Biden as a safe vice presidential pick with the right DEI qualifications. That ensured that in 2024, she would be in the right place for her ambitions.

An absolute? failure as Border Czar (no doubt as intended), she is now the subject of a massive rehabilitation by a media who years ago sold out their ethics to become the Democrats’ despised propaganda arm.

Unsurprisingly, media trackers report that Harris is receiving 66 per cent more airtime than Trump. While hers is 84 per cent positive, Trump’s is 89 per cent negative.

But such media delinquency cannot hide the fact that people will inevitably compare life under Trump with life under Biden-Harris. This should impact on the polls. Just with the expectation that Kennedy would swing behind him, Trump retook the lead in the averaged betting odds.

From his first-term success, Donald? Trump remains the most formidable presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan’s re-election. This is precisely why the Democrats have engaged in highly improper ‘lawfare’ in a so far unsuccessful attempt to block his candidature.

During Trump’s first term, all parties to the Beijing-Moscow-Tehran axis were on their best behaviour. They knew there was a line they should not cross, and while not knowing what would happen if they did, they all decided not to cross it.

Trump was also respected by the allies, who increased their contributions to their defence. Through measures he took and no doubt would have taken, the invasions of Ukraine and Israel would not have occurred under Trump.

But determined to be rid of Trump, during the 2020 election campaign the media neutralised the effect of the Hunter Biden laptop, which exposed the Biden family’s treacherous sale of access and influence to the highest levels of the administration to foreign bidders.

The media disgracefully did this through the blatant lie that this was an example of Russian disinformation.

Meanwhile, during a Supreme Court case brought by Texas and supported by 17 other states, it was argued that aside from actual fraud, the election was tainted by constitutional impropriety.

Threatened earlier that year from the steps of the court by Senate Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer over abortion, the judges declined to consider the merits of the case on a legal technicality.

When later it was established that the laptop was real, a national poll found that had they known this, more than two-thirds (71 per cent) of Democrats would have changed their vote.

Biden has been a disaster not only for the United States but also for the West, acting as the puppet of a far-left circle, a clique? of NewComs, who see their mission as the managed decline of the US and the West.

This is to be achieved by continuing the Obama administration’s appeasement of the Beijing-Moscow-Tehran axis.

Throughout his term, Biden had seriously damaged the prestige, standing and interests of the United States and of the West. His disgraceful flight from Afghanistan led Colonel Richard Kemp, former commander of British forces there, to call for his court-martial.

The powers behind the throne were happy for Biden to stand again, until his exposure in the first debate was seen as ensuring the Democrats’ electoral defeat.

His resistance to withdrawing melted once Harris indicated she was ready to provide the necessary vice presidential support to remove him under the 25th Amendment.

No doubt her price was her succession, something? easily granted to someone widely seen in progressive circles as the ‘female Obama’. As a close associate of his, her loyalty to the far-left NewCom agenda was never in doubt.

As Texas Senator Ted Cruz says, just on her voting record, she is further to the left than even Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren.

Her convention speech was curious in that it overlooked the fact that all of the problems she referred to such as inflation, cost of living and open borders, were her creations.

Ted Cruz argues that as Border Czar, Harris is responsible for ‘every damn murderer, every rapist, every child molester, every one who has died from a very drunk driver’ among the illegal immigrants she and? Biden released. She is also responsible for the children doomed to prostitution and for deaths from the communist-Chinese-made fentanyl pouring across the southern border.

As for her claim that she will be the lawyer for everybody, Cruz says she’s been the lawyer for ‘the drug cartels and the illegal immigrants’. Cruz says this is nothing new – Harris has always stood with the criminals and never with the people.

She consistently stood with violent criminals when Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters were burning Minneapolis. Following which she raised money to bail out of jail the violent criminals.

Cruz says that when Kamala has faced the choice between standing for the people or the criminals she consistently and without fail stands with the criminals.

‘That’s her record as vice president. ‘

And this woman is seriously proposed as President of the United States.

Were she so chosen, it could constitute its slow suicide.

Really - you prefer Trump. Someone who does not know the meaning of honesty. He only knows how to pat himself on the back and put on a pouty face.

Watching my favorite YouTube channels, I'm constantly interrupted by Kamala ads asking for money. I try to block them, but they remind me of the empty promises and disaster of her and Joe's administration: wars, the border crisis, reckless spending, Afghanistan, and the inflation. Her economic plan seems careless; economists call it gimmicky and likely disastrous. I don't want to give $25,000 of my hard-earned money to first-time homebuyers. It’s fiscally irresponsible for a country that’s broke. Plus, wasn’t cheap money and unaffordable homes what led to the 2008 credit crisis? I don't want to pay off other people's student loans. It took me ten years to pay off mine—undergrad and two masters. It wasn’t easy, but I did it and grew from the experience. I didn't want millions of unvetted people let into our country without a plan. Kamala's surrogates now claim she's tough on the border, but she once said it was secure. The criminals and fentanyl came in by the boatload. She was the border Czar; she owns this mess. There’s no such thing as a "free lunch." Punitive taxes, giveaways, and wealth redistribution are the opposite of what the founders envisioned. Just look at South America to see the consequences of Marxism.

Meanwhile Trump is a corrupt and convicted felon, with no vision beyond his own self-aggrandisement. If elected, he’ll throw Ukraine under the bus, and cozy up to nutbags like Putin and Kim. He’ll make the Middle East situation incalculably worse, and no doubt pardon himself for all past (and any future?) crimes. I’m not sure that Harris is quite as bad as that
