Ever heard of kaleidoscopic leadership? What kind of thinking does this phrase make you think of?
I'm sure you've already heard about diversity, equity and inclusion - DEI. Honestly, does this abbreviation evoke playfulness and creativity in you?
I think I know the answer. That is why we need to deploy a new leadership narrative - to open the space for intuition, creativity, jubilation, playfulness, to support liveness in our organizations.
Let's explore the next set of six words for the vocabulary of holistic leaders:
Intuition: A new paradigm of visioning is emerging. In uncertain times, it is difficult to predict the picture of the future, so intuition also plays its role. We cannot search for new directions only with limited reason.
Jubilation: We need to invite joy and jubilation into our organizations. As Danah Zohar says, the Quantum organization knows several values of success, one is still profit, but they are joined by creating jobs, serving the community, meaning, mission, joy at work...

Kaleidoscopic: Remember, how much you enjoyed posing as a child as a kaleidoscope, how the various colorful shapes morphed again and again, creating new images. If we drag this parable into leadership, embracing diversity and fostering an inclusive and multicultural environment gets a new, more fun and playful dimension. It is also good to know, that the roots of the word kaleidoscop are καλ?? (kalós, “beautiful, lovely”), ε?δο? (e?dos, “form, image, shape”) and english scope.
Liveness: Different communities are formed in every organization. The more developed these informal networks are, the greater the organization's ability to learn and adapt. The vitality of the organization comes from this.
Mindfulness: holistic leadership is mindful, characterized by careful consideration of the environmental, social, and economic impacts of decisions and actions.
Nimble: in a VUCA world we need to be quick and light in movement or action; agile and adaptable in response to change.
