Kalbhairav Manifestation of Shiva

#newdaynewchapter is a Blog narrative started on March 1, 2021 co-founded by Kishore Shintre & Sonia Bedi, to write a new chapter everyday for making "Life" and not just making a "living"
Shani who is the strongest of all planets in the astrological chart of a human controls time to ensure that conditioning of the person to match his/her actions (karma) over the lifetime. Kaal is actually the function of Sun who is considered the Father of Shani. Shani is also the brother of Yama, God of death. Hence it is natural that Sun which is the giver of energy also decides the lifetime of a person through His son and also the course of one's life through Shani. As a corollary it will be apt to also say Sun is the father of the Akshaya twins - one who always utter the truth! Both energy, life and death are truth in any one's life.
Now Kaala Bhairava is the fierce form of Shiva where in a frenzy He went on to destroy “time” or “Kaala”. It is to be noted that it is “ Kaala” and not “kaal” which is a Hindi pronunciation of a Sanskrit word. When Shiva set out to destroy Kaala, Shani would lose all importance and hence Shani worshipped Kaala Bhairava in order to “preserve time/Kaala”.
Now when Bhairava assumes the form of Bhairava Yatana which destroys the person or Universe in nanoseconds, there is really no scope for suffering to be experienced. Shani is the one who “teaches” and hence punishes all for their karmic trysts while of earth and such a death would mean Shani's effect will not matter anymore. Logically Shani therefore preserves his role in the Cosmic world of reward and punishment.
Kaal Bhairav is Ugra/Fierce form of Shiv. In tantrik traditions only after reaching a certain level of spiritual upliftment which takes decades, some people do His sadhana. The mantra you are chanting will have no effects as it has not been unlocked, you are not initiated into it and you don’t know the right process to chant it. You may keep chanting it for the rest of your life but it won't give you any result whatsoever. One should never get into the sadhana of the fierce form of any Deity.
Let me tell you a real life incident about it. I know a Dakshin Margi Sadhak who has been into sadhanas for good 30 years. He has a friend who got impressed with him and asked him to initiate him. This guy did. Then after sometime this friend of his heard from someone about Kaal Bhairav sadhana and asked for this mantra from him. The sadhak refused initially but when that friend kept on pestering him, one fine day he gave the mantra and told him the process to chant it.
Now this gentleman started chanting Kaal Bhairav mantra and nothing happened for 2 days. Now on the third day while he was chanting it, he suddenly collapsed and fainted. His family took him to the doctor and the doctor told them that he has gone into coma. Now this sadhak got to know about it, he went to the hospital and met the doctor. Doctor was known to him and had some knowledge. The doctor told him that his brain muscles are swollen for no reason and that is the cause of his coma. The sadhak told him what happened. Now this guy remained in coma for good 6 months. It has been 5 years since this episode and this guy is not normal to this date.

I specifically mentioned the spiritual path of this sadhak as Dakshin Margi to explain that he doesn’t possess enough power, Dakshinmargis never do. Still this is what happened to that fellow. Had the mantra been given by a Vamamarga Aghori , he would have died that very day. This is what it can do to you. Never play with mantras, it’s simply dangerous. Guru Brihaspati is said to be representation of Dakshina Murthy (Adi guru Lord shiva) in the Surya mandala. As you one would have seen remedies Guru graha dosha will be done to Dakshina Murthy to please Guru Graha. Similarly Shani Dev is representative of Kala Bhairava in Surya mandala. Both show compassion by providing circumstances for facilitating a faster transformation of inner being, which can be perceived as punishment as they shake the foundations of Status quo in one's life.
Maha Kala is the Lord of Time. And, as such the Guardian or Gatekeeper to That Immortal Essence or Truth of Being beyond Time! There is a YouTube video of a song of 108 names of Bhairava which is very powerful Kal Bhairav Mantra to do japa. If you repeat 1,000 times, you complete 108,000 Japa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGYIwidn6RQ
It is said that reading and reciting this Bhairav Stotra will solve all problems, rid the mind of worries, grant spiritual and material prosperity, cure incurable diseases, and bestow liberation!!! Bhairav is the aspect or manifestation of Shiva so awesome and vastly mysterious as to terrifying. Bhairava is a also an aspect or Name of the Great Lord of Time, Mahakaal. He is a fierce protector deity, the Ruler of Time or everything bound by time. And Mahakaal Bhairava is the Gatekeeper to That which is Beyond all Time. (Transcendental Immortal Realization/Being beyond the limits of conceptual mind, and everything of this world which we know of that is under the influence of Time (subject to destruction or change).
Bhairava is said to be an Immortal Siddha (perfected Being) while also being associated with taboos, dark aspects of life such as cremation grounds with ghosts and ghoulish creatures, drinking alcohol and blood, eating meat, etc. However as a Perfectly Divine Siddha, Bhairava is untouched and remains the same stainless Being regardless of all the duality of appearances. It is said that Bhairava wanders through the Himalayas and world his aspect as an Immortal Siddha on Earth even today.
In the scriptural stories of Ancient India Bhairava arises in his fierce aspect time and time again to defeat or destroy demons, evil forces, or arrogance. In other words putting out of balance elements back into harmony with great undefeatable force if necessary. Thus, Bhairava is a powerful and very helpful deity to approach for protection, purification, time mastery, and moving beyond time.
This Divinity is a helper for all needs within the world of time, as well as to move beyond all perceptions and changeable phenomenal world to realize the very essence of Being. For people undergoing Sade Sati Kaal Bhairava Ashtakam is one of the good remedies. Dhyana mantra at the beginning and mantra at the end are focusing on Batuka Bhairav, or the manifestation of Bhairava as a young boy. This is recommended approach because of the fiercely Awesome and sometimes terrifying aspect of Bhairav that should he respond to the call and appear he will be less likely to seem terrifying as a child. Also, just as a child is guileless, innocent, and easy to please, it is traditionally viewed by some tantric practitioners that the Deities such as Bhairava or Shakti will be easier to please and quick to grant boons in child form. 2 年In Ujjain there is a Bhairav nath temple where alcohol is offered to Bhairav nath and he drinks it. No one knows the reality where does this alcohol go.
Great article, Sir. Ujjain's Bhairav baba temple is offered alcohol and the idol drinks it. Huge place for tantrik activities. He was established by Lord Shiva around every Shakti Pith to protect Devi Sati. At various Shakti Pithas, goddess's body parts had fallen and the temples established there have Her energy like the Jwala Devi temple (temple where Devi's tongue had fallen, the energy of which is present in the form of eternal fire), Harsiddhi Mata temple near Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain, etc. There's a place called Bhairav Kund, somewhere around Indore city of M.P. (Central India), but I don't know anything about its history. It's a waterfall and picnic spot for tourists.
