Greetings to all my friends and connections. April 14th 2024 was the day when my long conceived idea came into reality. KALAI - Knowledge Addition through Learning and Awareness Initiatives.
Thank you for supporting and subscribing to the newsletter. We have 380+ friends and connections who have subscribed to the newsletter, we also have 8 who have volunteered for the initiative. 2% is a great start for a social initiative. Thank you
I want to take the opportunity to further explain the initiative as I have got multiple queries from my friends on how it works
As you are aware of the Blood Bank way of working and how it saves lives, the same concept is now replicated as Knowledge Bank. KALAI acts like Knowledge Bank.
How it works :
Part 1: Knowledge or Skill Database:
The individual who wants to be part of the social initiative, can register his interest and can specify the skills, the time he or she can devote and support. The volunteering details are updated in the database
Part 2: Support or Help needed from Schools or Colleges
The team who are part of the KALAI with their network meets the schools in remote villages or those schools and colleges not receiving adequate support. We will gather their needs, asks and help required

Once we have the Part 1 and 2, we will be doing a match and send out mails and whatsapp to the knowledge givers about the potential opportunity and it is based on first cum first accepted basis with a backup. The principle works exactly like a blood bank request and we will be soon launching mobile app and website, where the algorithm will be automated
Important Note : You can decide if you want to support the ask, just by volunteering there is no 100% push that you need to do, your intent goes to the database and your acceptance alone will trigger the help process. Register your knowledge and time you can devote
I place a humble request to my connections and friends to support the social cause

Next Edition will capture the request and support needed for the students studying in remote villages. We have series of meetings planned from next week
