Kalai - Journey from seed to sapling

I want to take a minute to thank 470 subscribers and 10 volunteers for the support to the initiative - KALAI - Knowledge Bank (Connecting the dots). We all know that not all seeds sown into the soil will emerge as a sapling and grow as a tree. I am glad and happy to say the Social Concept of Knowledge Bank has grown into a sapling with the support of like minded friends.

As the concept is completely voluntary and we have the criteria that the students should be from remote village/town and there should be no existing support, finding the right combination takes time.

My connections and friends mention during our chats that we need to give something back to society and I am ready for supporting any cause. To all those good friends and connections who have not yet subscribed to the voluntary program request you to kindly update your interest by sending an email at [email protected] as the links are not popular :-).

Short status on the progress over last 60 days:

• Discussion with a school principal near Thanjavur on the support needed . Follow up meeting planned in 3rd week of June
• Motivational session with students from Paravathi's Arts and Science College, Dindugal
• Computer Science students from one of the reputed college in down south who have designed the logo, water mark and now helping in creation of Website and soon mobile app.
• Discussions with 6 schools in Virudunagar district planned for next week once schools reopens
• Discussions initiated to explore schools in Andhra Pradesh through a connection who is leading AP initiatives in Europe

I am looking for volunteers to support the need, we will soon enable the website and app to facilitate the volunteering connections
