Today, I want to share with you one of the most simple and important concepts that can be applied to your marketing to help you get better results…
Kaizen.
Kaizen is a Japanese concept that refers to the constant or continual focus on improvement.
And Kaizen is actually one of Trader Joe's 7 core values.
By focusing on continually improving — rather than making dramatic, drastic, huge changes — it's not only easier to find ways in areas that can be improved but it's also easier to implement and take action on.
There are countless opportunities to continually improve
… your team
… your processes
… your campaigns
… your creative
And I bet you're already aware of a lot of them.
(And, if not, your team certainly is!)
James Clear, in his book Atomic Habits, talks about how the small actions that we take have dramatic impacts on our lives when compounded.
It’s exactly the same with Kaizen.
It's just like investing: you make small deposits over time and after a long enough period, they add up to huge dramatic changes.
Instead of trying to make a 10% improvement, make a 1% improvement. Then do it again and again. Making small, incremental improvements is easier and faster—and many small improvements add up to the same big result.
You don't have to make huge changes to your organization or to your marketing to achieve massive results.
Instead, you need to adopt the spirit of Kaizen and continually find ways to improve, both big and small.
How can you adopt Kaizen this week in your organization and with your team?
