Kaden Hanson - Engineer Spotlight Interview

Kaden Hanson joined Infinity Software as a Web Developer in 2016. He shares his impressive career trajectory at Infinity.

What is your role, and what initially drew you to this opportunity at Infinity?

I'm currently working as a Senior Software Engineer, Lead on the professional services team. I am responsible for developing code and assigning tasks to a small group of engineers.?

The leaders I report to at Infinity have helped me grow immensely in my role: meeting regularly, listening to my areas of interest, and giving me the opportunities to shine. I love writing code, and I enjoy the coaching and mentorship aspects of people leadership in my role. I appreciate that I have the opportunity to work on the projects that appeal to me the most - that’s the type of leadership I want to emulate at Infinity.?

Can you share more about the culture at Infinity?

We have a culture of professional development. There is a structure in place for learning, development, and career growth. Everyone I work with shares a passion for learning, teaching, and supporting others. And we have a set social gathering weekly where we share individual and team highlights focused on technology projects, favorite games or sports teams, food, movies, pets and more! Post-pandemic restrictions, we brought back “Team Week”.? It’s this rare chance for a dispersed group of colleagues to come together for a few days in Lake Tahoe, socializing, skiing, snowshoeing, and skating.?

I genuinely feel like a valued member of the team. And that’s part of the culture here too. You don’t need to be in the spotlight closing big sales or saving us money; no matter what your role is, you will feel appreciated. More than that, you will feel like the work you do here does some good in the world.?
