Installation Spotlight: Left Lane Capital
Located in Brooklyn, NY, the Left Lane Capital corporate building overlooks the waters of the East River. There is no better view than on the 20th floor, where a full K-array system was installed as part of a complete renovation of the space.
Specified and installed by Architech Designs, the project was in collaboration with the Ovadia Bros, New York fashion designers (and twin brothers) who provided interior design and furnishing direction. Having previously deployed K-array products in similar projects, Architech Designs opted for a full K-array sound system to work seamlessly with other integrated technology and soundproofed huddle pods.
"While initially designed for background music, K-array's headroom and output allowed for the open-area speaker system to provide exceptional audio,” explained Robert D’Amico, project manager at Architech Designs. “The end result is a system that caters for all occasions, from company functions to cocktail parties.”
K-array’s products were able to overcome the acoustical challenge of concrete walls while still providing high-quality sound. The audio system consists of 12 Tornado KT2 point source loudspeakers, four Vyper KV52 ultra-slim column loudspeakers, and two KU210 and eight KU44 Rumble subwoofers. Slimline Vyper column loudspeakers are in the main boardroom.
Discreet yet powerful Tornado loudspeakers and Rumble subwoofers were used in the sensory room to create an immersive audio environment that features a minimalistic design despite being packed with advanced technology. "The client is thrilled with the performance and result, which looks as good as it sounds." Noah Siber-Sanderowitz, Residential Sales Director, K-array USA.
Production Spotlight: Big Noon Kickoff
First aired by FOX Sports in 2019, Big Noon Kickoff serves as the pregame show for Fox College Football, specifically during the network's noon kickoff window, which features its flagship games of the day. K-array and KGEAR audio reinforcements were chosen as repeat fan favorites for the 2023 season of Fox's broadcasted college football.
Sean Sweeney and veteran production company CP Communications (CP) played a pivotal role by providing the show with a robust outdoor audio setup capable of supporting game day commentary as well as exclusive pre-show entertainment with notable names such as Lil’ Wayne and Rob Gronkowski.
The left and right sides of the broadcast stage received the most attention with two portable KR802 Pinnacle systems, comprised of Kayman speakers and Thunder subs, visibly transformed into noteworthy attractions to accommodate thousands energetic of fans.
To easily spot these speakers, look for the upright towers wrapped in custom-designed mesh fabric showcasing the participating state football teams' logos and school colors.
Two KGEAR GH12 systems, one for the stage and another at the entranceway act as a welcome PA. Eight flexible Anakonda-KAN200+ loudspeakers were installed around the base of the broadcast stage to provide front fill and are paired with a Kommander-KA84 fully independent amplifier.
