Justice Delivered
Justice, thy name is Tzahal. The day of reckoning has arrived. Praise be to the IDF for finally sending (former) Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar to meet his maker (which depending on your theology could very well be Satan himself). For every victim of October 7th and its aftermath, for Israelis and Palestinians both—justice has been done.
He was calculating, clever, and cruel beyond measure. He orchestrated the intentional deaths of thousands of Palestinian civilians to further his war effort against the Jewish state. Under his leadership and direction Hamas raped, slaughtered, and kidnapped their way across southern Israel on October 7th, 2023, hoping to provoke a response that would eventually lead to the dissolution of the Jewish state due to having to fight a war in the deathtrap he spent the past decade-plus preparing in Gaza. An “unwinnable war” by all estimations. Or is it?
Instead, it is Sinwar and Hamas that have been disintegrated; and the entire extended terrorist network of the Islamic Republic of Iran is coming ever-closer to total annihilation. There is but one name truly at the top of the list now. I would not sleep well in Tehran. I would not sleep well anywhere, actually. Justice WILL be done, Khamenei. Surrender now and they may just spare your life (and your Twitter handle).
There is reliable video evidence shot by a drone of Sinwar’s last moments. He died like a dog; weak, cowering, covered. Able to barely throw a stick in the general direction of the camera before he met almighty Justice. A fitting end for a coward and traitor of Humanity. He will be remembered as a psychopathic murderer and sycophant of history. A child killer and rape enabler. A war criminal and a slimy, revolting, tunneling earthworm. Many evil people ought to be forgotten by history (though not their deeds); their names unworthy of infamy. Not Sinwar. History must remember this one. To be a Sinwar is to murder children for political advantage. It is to systematically use rape as a weapon of war. It is to be counted among the most despicable, deceptive, and devious members of the human race; among names like Goebbels and Quisling. And now, Sinwar. May he rest in hell for all eternity.
Israel has achieved the impossible many times throughout its history. In its 1948 war for independence it was the Jews versus the world, with communist bloc-aligned Czechoslovakia of all places being their biggest arms supplier. In spite of all odds against them, the Jews won and re-established the ancient homeland of the Jewish people as a modern nation-state. In June ‘67 it was the Jews versus the world again. This time, it only took them six days to demolish the air power and armies of their enemies on all fronts. From this victory Israel gained Judea and Samaria from Jordan, the Golan Heights from Syria, and the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula (which they would later give back for the promise of peace) from Egypt. Whenever the Jews are attacked, they always come back stronger. And their revenge will be to outlive you.
Today, it is once again the Jews versus the world. The IDF eliminated Sinwar in Rafah. Remember that place we were all supposed to have our “eyes” on? The place literally no one said Israel could accomplish its military goals in? The place the Veep “looked at the map” and just decided it couldn’t be done. The place it would “take six weeks minimum” to evacuate the civilian population to a safe location. The place several hostages and hostage bodies have been recovered from now. I guess the world didn’t keep their end of the bargain and keep their eyes on Rafah. If they had, they might’ve told someone about Sinwar or the hostages and ended this war far sooner.
Time and again, the world attempts to shame the Jewish nation. And instead, it is Israel and Israelis who put us to shame. Without fail. Will we ever learn to trust that Israelis are a highly capable people with the utmost respect for the sanctity of life? And never bet against the Jewish people. Even the most elementary student of history can tell you what a colossal mistake that is.
The war is not yet over. Terrorist cells tend to operate with a high degree of autonomy. Sinwar’s death was an undeniable blow to Hamas and to terror supporters everywhere; but Israel’s hostages are not yet returned. And so long as there is an ideology of genocidal hate masquerading as “resistance” that is allowed to flourish and grow in Gaza (i.e. through UNRWA and similar “humanitarian” orgs), this conflict will never truly be over. That is why it is essential that the IDF finish the job and wipe Hamas off the map for good. If they do not—then in a matter of years or decades we will be right back here. And the Palestinian people will suffer more than anyone.

Imagine what could be with the massive international empathy the Palestinians have garnered. They could legitimately be the Dubai of the Mediterranean. Imagine a Gaza that is richer per capita than its neighbor, the Jewish state. It seems impossible now, but it was not always so. The Palestinians are a smart, strong, and incredibly capable people; with rich culture, traditions, and social cohesion. Just imagine what they could accomplish if led away from this tragic delusion of driving out the Jews from their homeland. And none of it can be done until Hamas is removed from power permanently and irrevocably. There must be no going back to the past. This chapter of “resistance” via killing their Jewish neighbors can never be opened again. Never again.
They will have to reckon with what their people did to the Jews in our time and before, which is by no means an easy thing. That level of societal self-reflection is perhaps what will need the most outside assistance out of anything; a very, very long process of deradicalization is absolutely necessary. But it can be done. Just look at Germany, a country which is one of the largest supporters of the Jewish nation today. And with their history, if they can do it—anyone can.
At the end of the day, there is only so much any one of us can do in pursuit of coexistence. For true, lasting peace to occur, all sides must want it. And for 76 years now, all Israelis have ever wanted—is peace. The Jewish section of the UN partition plan accepted their lot without qualms, even though they were given the malarial swamp sections of British Mandate Palestine. When war came anyway, they fought and won and tried for decades just to survive in a world actively hostile to their very existence.
When Yasser Arafat came along and declared Israel “the great enemy” again, he did it knowing that in every negotiation for a “two state solution” he ever went to he would only ever turn it down. His replacement Mahmoud Abbas still pays terrorists salaries from the official PA budget à la “pay for slay”. These are not “peace partners”; not even remotely. Irony died the day Yasser Arafat won the Nobel Peace Prize. Just a few years later he would launch the ‘Second Intifada’ and doom thousands of Israelis and Palestinians to tragic, violent deaths. Palestinian leadership has never been interested in peace—because it doesn’t sell as well. And that’s Fatah, that’s the PA. We’re not even talking about the genocidal death cult and democratically-elected leadership of Gaza that is (was?) Hamas.
Give peace a chance, Palestinians and Gazans. A real chance. Don’t let evil men throw away your life and the lives of your family members for nothing. Sinwar and Haniyeh enriched themselves at the cost of everything you had; all that potential, all those lives lost. And in the end, they still didn’t destroy Israel. They died sad and pathetic and left your home in ruins. You are free of them now. Stick it to Khamenei too and join the free and democratic modern world.
I admire your willingness to sacrifice and your tolerance for hardship for the sake of your people. These are admirable qualities. You have had to endure more than any people should. And your history will reflect this great struggle and your ultimate reckoning with it, if you can only move on.
Just imagine what you could do with a modern liberal democracy and a market economy. You want to stick it to the Jews? Be richer than them. Be more successful than them in our modern world. They have utterly crushed you militarily again and again. It’s not going to work for you. Swallow your pride and give peace a chance.
Until the days of peace are truly upon us, stay safe. Keep calm. Am Yisrael Chai ????

1 个月Anthony, I agree with almost everything in your essay. However, I do take exception to this one sentence in particular, “The Palestinians are a smart, strong, and incredibly capable people; with rich culture, traditions, and social cohesion.” The Palestinians do NOT have a distinct culture, they came from Egypt, Jordan, Saudia and other Arab countries and that is their culture. This single sentence confers upon them a separate peoplehood and legitimizes their claims. Remember, these are the Arabs who followed the economy created by the Jews in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. After profiting from the resurgence of the Jewish community, they sided with the 5 arab nations that chose to attack the infant Israeli state. The only thing that separates them now from Jordanians, Lebanese, Syrians and Egyptians is their religious extremism and fanaticism.

1 个月"Time and again, the world attempts to shame the Jewish nation. And instead, it is Israel and Israelis who put us to shame." Indeed! The West accuses Israel of being colonizers. How can it be that the return of a peoplehood to their ancestral land can be such a thing? The opposite is true and the West should be ashamed. It is the West who, with their colonial project of settling a 'Palestinian' state on the territory of a sovereign country named Israel (who is entitled to all the territory west of the Jordan river), are still embracing their colonial past by exercising it!
