Not just a 'Walk in the Park'

In the summer of 2016, my nephew Frankie was diagnosed with cancer at the age of two! Thankfully, after almost a year of treatment in both the UK & US his treatment proved successful and has recently had another ‘all clear’ quarterly MRI scan!
However, lots of children aren’t as lucky and the cause continues…
So, after last year’s ‘Grilling For Frankie BBQ’ & the ‘100km in 24hrs Walk in a Park’, I was looking for the next challenge. This Friday (18th May 2018) my brother, a couple of unwilling mates and myself are walking the entire 100 mile South Downs Way National Trail from Winchester to Eastbourne, ascending a total of 16,317ft, over four days! We are doing it in aid of Alice’s Arc, the charity that helped my brother and his family and continues to help many more like them. Alice’s Arc not only supports the families of children with cancer through extremely traumatic times but also helps fund research into an area of much needed R&D – Childhood Cancer.
So when you’re tucking into your brekkie this Friday morning, sipping your G&Ts on Saturday, enjoying a roast on Sunday and doing whatever you’re doing on Monday, think of us – just walking, walking, walking…
I know we are all bombarded with sponsorship requests, so please don’t feel as though you have to donate. If however you feel compelled to donate to such a worthy cause, below is the JustGiving link ;)
