Why is it that some people have an amazing, incredible life. And some people don’t. No matter how hard they try, nothing works out for them. They stand back and watch their lives go by like they’re watching a movie.
Why is it that some people are stuck in love and some people are stuck in hate?
Why is it that some people are lucky while others constantly miss out on the opportunities life brings them?
Why is it that some people accept life as something that happens for them, while others see life as something that happens to them?
Some people get things done while others watch things get done. Some people make things happen while others just watch things happen. Then there are those people who always wonder “What happened?”
When you are a person of action, you have to choose to act.
But most people don’t want to choose. They don’t want to make a choice because they’re afraid of making the wrong choice. They’re afraid that if they choose, they’ll lose. They’re afraid that if they do, they will die. But trust me, you won’t die.
We’re all dying anyway. You might as well live!
Why not take a chance on life and get rid of all of that strife. Get rid of all that pain. Get rid of all that suffering. Get rid of all that agony. Get rid of all the risk in the life you’re afraid to live. Why? Because being afraid to live is the riskiest thing you can do.
If you want love, be love. If you want happiness, be happy. Commit to doing more with what you have instead of wanting to have more.
Our life is limited. We’re limited in time. We’re limited in our resources. But we don’t need more resources, we just need to be more resourceful.
Today is the only thing you have. Today is the only thing you can possibly choose because you cannot predict what’s going to happen tomorrow.
Stop pretending you can predict the future because the future is unpredictable and the past keeps repeating itself.
When you realize that only current performance is indicative of the future, everything changes: the language you use, the way you speak, the things you say. Not what happened but what is happening.
Not what you used to do but what you’re going to do, what you’re committed to do. You have to be committed to the future you want to author.
Otherwise, you’ll just be reading books your whole life and you won’t be creating your own books. You’ll just be living a life based on somebody else’s creation. Based on someone else’s circumstance.
You’ve got to ask yourself, “Am I living the life I want to live?” And if you’re not, whose fault is that? Who dealt you those cards? Who decided you had to have a crappy life? Was it your teacher? Your parents? Society? How’s that working out for you?
Stop blaming everyone else for the crappy life you have and start taking ownership for everything...starting with your words. If you don’t own your words, circumstance will own your words. If you don’t own your life, circumstance will own your life.
You want to be a winner, don’t you? You want to get more out of life. So, why not believe you can and create the possibility for more? Now. Not someday. Because someday is not on the calendar. Only now exists. Someday doesn’t. It’s a pipe dream.
Are you busy living your life hoping that the right opportunity will one day come? Hope is a good thing, It’s actually a great thing. It’s just that hope is not a strategy. Craft a strategy and take action. It does not need to be perfect, it just needs to happen, NOW!
Will you take action?
