Just SIT Here WITH Me.... Face To Face

Recently I committed to spending time with God in the mornings once again. I used to be diligent and consistent in this practice but over the years the "cares of this life" and "business" took over and I grew "weary".

I have a few slogans but the main one I use is:

"Serving YOU with Passion, Professionalism, & Prayer". 

Although I pray ALL the time (I talk to God AND listen to him)- it is totally different to STOP and BE with Him. The image that came to mind is when I am busy working or or doing things around my house and my husband or children are talking to me- I listen and I care about what they are saying but I am moving around doing other things as I do- BUT there are other times where I just SIT with them ... FACE TO FACE and look into their eyes fully attentive, captivated by their voice and their presence.

WHY do I share this with you?? I share this because the ONLY thing that makes me "successful" is the fact that God has chosen to bless me. Of course I work VERY hard and am now very experienced- BUT I KNOW that unless I am fully representing HIM as I work, I will NOT be "successful" even if I am millions. The other day I had only 15 minutes to "sit" with God and I poured out my heart and told him that I love doing real estate but I know he is calling me to write books that he has given me- and I said that I simply needed him to have "His way" in my life and business. I told him that I know that there is "pleasure" at His "right hand" and that I want to know where His "right hand" is and sit there and experience His presence. 

Although nothing really "happened" I had a peace throughout the day that I normally do not have. I also had a person call me out of the blue and ask me to be their agent, AND I had another client come back after a couple months of not communicating AND I got an offer accepted on a listing of mine. 

I know this is NOT a coincidence... and I am in awe of HIs love and kindness. He had spoken to me years ago in a time of "silent" prayer that if I just "sit" with him and be still for an hour a day, he would "prepare a meal" for me in front of my enemies (my fears, doubts, distractions), he would pour "oil" on my head (symbolic of being filled with the Holy Spirit), AND my "cup" would "overflow" (he would "flow" out of me like "living water" and the writing he gave me and the ministry he called me to would "flow" smoothing without striving.) WOW.... 

I still struggle to wake up early and jump out of bed, but I imagine myself sitting across from Jesus, Him smiling at me... and I get up and go with anticipation to hear His voice and by faith "see" his face. If you are a Christian or even if you are not, I encourage you to sit in silence every morning before your day starts (do what you can and increase from there, 10 minutes, 20...etc) and share your heart (out loud if possible) and then tell Him that you want to hear Him, know what He is thinking and saying. You will NOT be disappointed.
