You never know where a conversation can lead to, customer came in about 2 weeks ago thinking of having one of his wheels refurbished on his Mercedes, only a very slight mark but a very fussy man who takes great pride in his car.
As we chatted away, I said whenever you think about selling it I’d love to buy it regardless of if you want the wheel refurbishing or not, as we parted we said he would be in touch as he wasn’t really sure and maybe thinking of changing his car to a new one anyway.
He came back the next day and asked if I was serious of buying it, so we discussed figures and I said definitely want it, who wouldn’t want a one private owner, Full service history car with low mileage!
Just been in today and I’m buying it.
Why has he not traded it into the main dealer?
Well I’m paying him £1100 MORE! You’re all thinking ‘madness’, I believe I’m paying the ‘right’ price, this is a one private owner car with full main dealer service history, slight mark on one alloy, non-smokers , no pets , virtually ready to go on the forecourt hardly needing a valet, the car that every dealer dreams of buying.
Valuation wise, because the customer has been a very ‘loyal’ and mature customer the salesman clearly tried to take advantage, as the customer put it. “Had I not had the conversation with you, I would have accepted their offer, a bit low but I would have done a deal, so glad I met you, I’ll tell my family and friends”
So for the people in the trade, the customer was offered £200 more than ‘CAP BELOW’ valuation.
Yet again I’ve paid a LOT More than the main franchised dealer, and dealers are telling me they can’t buy enough of their own franchise stock. Offering customer such low prices isn’t going to help them but definitely helps me.
So please spread the word of ‘Webuynicecars.co.uk’ as I keep saying NOT Any, Just nice.
