The first ever peer reviewed research providing comprehensive land use guidelines and recommendations for vertiports has just been published in Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's International Journal of Aviation, Aeronautics, and Aerospace.
This study sought to establish land use compatibility criteria for vertiports. The research utilized a three-round e-Delphi panel to determine vertiport land use compatibility zones and criteria. The findings achieved a consensus of no less than 70%, offering extensive land use compatibility suggestions for vertiports. The study established a basis for designing land use compatibility for vertiports, facilitating their incorporation into existing communities. The findings can enhance public and local officials' awareness of the necessities and prerequisites for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) infrastructure development. The consistency between current and planned guidelines reinforces the e-Delphi panel's recommendations.
