Just Raise Your Hand, Speak & Say It!

Embrace the Power of Raising Your Hand to Speak In Public.

Hey, What's up? It's Tony Taylor. I hope you are doing well and this message finds you basking in true joy!

Welcome to the latest edition of The Introverted Communicator newsletter, where we celebrate the unique strengths of introverts in the realm of communication. In this edition, we explore the transformative power of raising your hand to speak in public.

As an introverted communicator, you already appreciate the value of thoughtful reflection and observation. Sometimes the problem is communicating those reflections and observations. You're here because you're committed to enhancing your ability to express yourself confidently and effectively. Rest assured, you've come to the right place.

Take these tools into consideration:

Gratitude and acceptance have played pivotal roles in my own personal journey, as I, too, once grappled with extreme anxiety. I vividly remember the "what ifs" that held me back: What if I stumble? What if I'm not heard? What if I'm judged? Yet, through the simple act of raising my hand, I discovered a path toward growth and empowerment.

To break this habit, I say, "I'm so grateful that I get the opportunity to share what I know" and then I will simply raise my hand!

When you just raise your hand, you send a powerful message to yourself and the world. You declare that your voice deserves to be heard and challenge the limitations that may have hindered your progress. This process is so powerful!

It's not always easy, but the rewards are profound and far-reaching. Raising your hand doesn't always involve physically doing so but what about that email you need to respond to? What about that job you want to apply for? Do it, raise your hand!

I know what you might be thinking, "but what if I am not good enough?" You have to overcome YOU!

Overcoming Self-Doubt

Public speaking often breeds self-doubt, especially for introverted communicators like us. Let's continue to explore actionable techniques to silence your inner critic, embrace your strengths, and cultivate a mindset of self-belief. By raising your hand without hesitation, you can conquer your fears and step into the spotlight with confidence! If you're silent today more than likely you will be quiet tomorrow. The world needs to hear your voice now more than ever. The way you overcome self-doubt is to go for it and keep going! 1-2-3 MOVE!

Unlocking Your Unique Voice

As an introverted communicator, you possess a wealth of insights and perspectives waiting to be shared. Raising your hand signifies your willingness to contribute your own thoughts and ideas. By raising you're hand you will thrust yourself into learning the techniques to be successful in the future and also harness your authentic voice, explore the nuances of vocal delivery, storytelling, and body language, and captivate your audience with your unique presence.

Build a Supportive Community

Connecting with like-minded individuals who understand and appreciate your journey is vital to your growth as an introverted communicator. Joining a supportive community offers you the opportunity to exchange experiences, seek guidance, and find encouragement. Together, you will inspire and uplift one another as you navigate the world of public speaking.

The two most used phrases from two of my most successful business partners, were ¨don′t be a secret agent¨and, ¨closed mouths don′t get fed¨, both say the same thing. I don′t necessarily believe in the raising of one′s hand to speak, as it isn′t inclusive enough, but an environment that encourages dialogue is at least a good place to start
