Just a little gratitude please.

There is much to be grateful for and this time of year is so wonderful because it inspires us all to express that gratitude. It is easy to become cynical about economic conditions, politics, challenges abroad or even the chill in the weather. The fact of the matter is, if you are reading this post on a laptop somewhere in this great country, you have lots to be thankful for. With that in mind, I would like to express my gratitude to all my team, clients and especially this great country!

My father came over from England after World War II with his father and brother and had to work their way into citizenship in hopes of a better life for their family. When my father applied for college here in the US, they requested his educational transcripts from England and the reply came back, “Don’t waste your time, George Munton is only fit to be a ditch digger or a street worker.” My father was not a part of the social elite, and thus at that point in history, he did not warrant such effort as an advanced education. My father went on to become an orientation mobility specialist and helped hundreds of blind children learn to travel from home to school and work. His contributions to hundreds of lives still touches my heart to this day.

I started GPG Advisers just eight years ago on a wing and prayer with just two clients. Two years later Jim Carr joined me and six months ago Scott Morey joined GPG. Together we have created a brand we are proud of. I am proud of the work we do for some of the most prestigious companies on the globe. It’s a great time to be alive!
