Why just having a good resume is not enough to get you the job
There is a misconception that having a good resume is ultimately going to help to get your dream job. Well, yes and no.
Having a successful job search is a combination of putting in the time to research the position(s) that you are applying for, as well as the company(ies) that you are looking to pursue. Here are some steps you can take to make your job search that much successful.
Complete your profile 100%
When a recruiter comes around your Linkedin or other professional job search platforms, the first thing they will discover is whether or not your profile is complete.
A completed profile is going to positively impact your job search by demonstrating the passion and desire you have for pursuing your goals.
Let recruiters know that you are not only qualified but that you are committed to building your professional brand.
Do a bit of research on the company
It is essential to ensure that the company you are looking to apply for shares the same core values that you have to offer.
You want to take a deep dive into their background and how they treat their employees. Besides, you don't want to start working for a company that you may quit later on down the road.
Cover Letter
A cover letter is an excellent addition to your resume because it is going to reaffirm your interest in the position(s) that you are pursuing.
Did you know that over 30% of recruiters look for a cover letter with an application?
Thank You Letter
Expressing appreciation to your recruiter for taking the time and allowing you to interview can be very important to your job search.
You can be in a position where you are competing against a perfect candidate that the hiring team can't decide on. But guess what you just did by sending that thank you letter!
You put the nail on the coffin...
Now all of a sudden, you receive a phone call for a job opportunity. YAY :)

A resume writer will be able to showcase the tremendous value you add to the job force. So investing in a well-written resume for your professional presence is very common and can be your ticket to success. People from all different industries do it all the time.
Final Thoughts
So the next time you update your resume, consider these key factors to improve your professional portfolio.

5 年When interviewed you just have to be yourself and relaxed, composed and honest which will go a long way!? Long time ago I got into a large company and I was the only one to have ever been hired without a College Degree:)? That was funny but the Corporate World was not for my however I did learn a huge amount of knowledge that one year:)
