Just a few lessons I learned being a Tech Leader

Just a few lessons I learned being a Tech Leader

For a while now, I have been going through a lot of interesting reads online as a part of my journey to be a better leader and entrepreneur. In doing so, I came across multiple learning-based scenarios from impactful industry leaders who have steered their organizations to groundbreaking heights. Inspired by their zeal, enthusiasm, and pragmatism I am sharing some of the most profound lessons I encountered.

●  Being successful does not equate to being popular, to make an impact, and navigate the industrial landscape you often will be required to make difficult decisions. While doing so you may not be able to please everyone, and you got to learn to be okay with it.

●  Authenticity is what makes your life a whole lot easier, don’t waste your energy to project yourself as something you are not.

●  Learn to read the market, when the sales go down always take a step back and re-evaluate what’s in your portfolio.

●  Building a network is always a good investment, as you can always seek wise words from the people you respect and trust their advice to get out of harsh predicaments. Always remember seeking advice does not make you less of a leader.

●  Gathering honest feedback is a stepping stone towards perfecting your products and services. The more feedbacks you have the better insight you get into your own offerings.

●  Be humble, as acknowledging your failures and shortcomings offers you a scope to learn and grow. You have to realize that you cannot do everything alone, if something is out of your domain, you got to bring in people who can expertly execute those things where you are falling short.

●  Collaborating with people having thought processes similar to you would nurture an environment where you can exchange innovative ideas and bring them to life.

●  Go niche, instead of scattering your efforts in all directions, it is always better to focus your energy on penetrating specific markets and building your USP. Offering precise value to the right people gets things going for you faster.

●  Be curious and inquisitive, your thirst for knowledge and exploration will drive you to level up your skills. Knowing more about the industrial and technical landscape will give you an edge in making smarter decisions and leapfrogging your competitors.

There we go, just a few professional lessons I came across. These are the mantras I fall back upon when cornered by any roadblocks. I hope this small snippet can do some good for my peers in their entrepreneurial journey. I’d love to hear your additive thoughts on this.
