Just to clear the air. BLOCK, BLAST & KEEP features explained.
Hi LinkedIn,
Since my previous post regarding the introduction of my iOS app E-Junk Blaster i have finally reached my first completed month as a member of the App Store weighing up against the giants that already exist! Weighing in on 2,000+ downloads in my first month, there has been some confusion or misinterpretation about a function(s) that i have cleared with customers on my social media handles but i would like to clear it with those who have downloaded my App here (on LinkedIn)!
I would just like to set the record straight that it has been put forward to me that users are interpreting the "Blast" option as a permanent mailbox clean out method and believe that spam/junk mail will not return. This is unfortunately false.
The App contains a Block feature which has been coded into the App to be active upon Premium Version purchase only. What the Block feature achieves here is giving a user the ability to set a zero tolerance blocking rule on the selected mail that will work endlessly to ensure that address is prohibited from entering your mailbox (and i mean it will not even appear in junk folder, deleted or any other folder you may have)
So to clear the air, here is the difference!
BLOCK - Sets a permanent blocking rule with very little effort, the user only needs to tap once and verify (no knowledge of rules necessary!). Mail will not return once blocked and cannot be reversed. You are given an (Are You Sure) message prior to action of the block, so block carefully!
BLAST - Acts as the quick deletion/sweep of the mailbox. The mail is not blocked and WILL return if the sender sends the mail again. This is equivalent to just hitting delete if you were logged in on your PC.
Here's a bonus option ... the KEEP option!
KEEP - Makes a rule that you have marked the mail as safe and "not junk" forcing the App to disregard even showing the mail in future scans. Handy to be on the safe side, i made sure the App ignores it so you can check it later when you reach a PC or on your regular routine mail check on your phone! It also leaves the mail where it is, sitting in your mailbox awaiting your attention later.
I hope this clears things up to those who have the App installed. If you have not downloaded your copy and would like to see what the fuss is all about i have provided the link to the App Store here: https://t.co/HLLOPTaoRu
