?Introduction:
I have been interested in all things AI and I had some fun previously creating chatBots using Dialogflow. I used to create agents and write scripts to anticipate the user's interactions and provide possible conversation flows.
So once I was introduced to ChatGPT, I was extremely excited to say the least.
?
Some of you are already aware of ChatGPT and have been using it for a while, while others have heard of it and may not understand what the fuss is all about.
?
my post is to talk about the integration of ChatGPT and Bing, which could change the way we browse and search the internet all together.
We may be on the verge of a new era, wherein our advice for anyone looking for a piece of information is to tell them to "Bing it".
?
I got access to the new Microsoft Bing (you can join the waitlist as well) where they injected chatGPT’s (3.5) capabilities within their search.
and I thought I'd show you a simple interaction I had with Bing.
?
Use-Case:
I was fiddling around with some side project using python, and as I tried to compile my code, I received the following error:
“ERROR: [Errno 10048] error while attempting to bind on address ('127.0.0.1', 7860): only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted”
it seems somehow straightforward, a port is being already used, but instead of googling it, I though let’s try this new feature that Bing is offering.
?
As you can see, there is a regular search bar where you can enter your questions. Once you submit them, you receive the usual answers linking to various web-pages, as well as a new pop-up on the right.
That is Bing's new version of ChatGPT; it reads your question and provides a more cohesive response to your inquiry.
you can click on the box and you will be directed to a new page similar to the layout of ChatGPT where you can expand on the question you have:

Bing has several features that set it apart from ChatGPT. With its ability to scrape the web for real-time results &answers, plus reference material, it can be a great tool for staying informed in conversation. It even provides a list of potential follow-up choices to help keep the dialogue going.
?
?
The context of your conversation is factored into the solution you seek, ensuring that it is tailored to your individual needs.
In my example above, I had an issue with a port being blocked by some process or application. Through my conversation with Bing's ChatGPT, I found out how to open the command prompt to find all the processes using a certain port.
?
As the response was being generated to me, I clicked on "Stop Generating" and wrote: "The port I'm having an issue with is 7860”, which immediately changed the response to provide a command line prompt to include my input."
?
?
?Conclusion:
Obviously, it still has its limits; you are only allowed eight interactions back and forth with the bot, after which you must start a new topic.
And some of the responses are not factually accurate, but for a beta version integrated with usual search capabilities, I must say this is amazing.
For now, I have actually moved to Microsoft Edge, and I am going to Bing it.
