Just because you are safe does not mean you didn't get hurt in the process.

I think throughout my years of taking risks, stepping out in faith and trailblazing new paths, how many times I ended up safe at the end but got injured in the process. Sometimes I am jumping on the base in victory celebrating, sometimes I am limping or dragging myself to the base barely making it, and other times I jump or slide into the base causing some major injury in the process. I have also found that what happens when you land on the base can initially ease the pain. If I’m making the winning run for the World Series, it will most likely not hurt as much. If I land on the base face first and still lose, the pain seems to be worse. No matter the end result, we should remember three things:
1) If we think we have a chance, we need to go for it. You will never reach the base if you don’t take your feet off your current bag.
2) We need to trust our years of training and coaching, which helps us to have the speed, agility and endurance to reach the bag even if we’re tired or injured.
3) The reward of victory is more fulfilling than the agony of defeat.
Don't be afraid to take your feet off the bag and go for it! I have run many, many appointments over the years. I have scored a lot, sometimes landing face first and other times with my arms held high shouting in victory. I would be honored to be your base coach, helping you get quicker at knowing when to go for it and when to hold back. I can help you to get out of the minor leagues and go pro. www.theannuityacademy.com

5 年Chad C Owen very well written and a great analogy?? ? You highlight a very important point. ? The best defense is offense! ? So many Sales Professionals are desperately trying to just hang on at the end of the month. ? Because of this they miss out on opportunities to increase their sales.
