Just 15% of organizations boast high levels of both organizational learning and AI-specific learning !

?? 99% of Augmented Learners report annualized revenue benefits from AI

?? Managing uncertainty, therefore, requires learning. Companies need to learn more, and more quickly, to manage uncertainty.

?? Organizations that combine organizational and AI-specific learning (Augmented Learners) are 1.6 times more likely to feel prepared to manage uncertainty than organizations with limited learning capabilities.

?? Using AI can improve organizational learning capabilities and that these learning improvements are similarly tied to improved financial results, according to a new interesting research published by 波士顿谘询公司 BCG Henderson Institute using data ?? from 3,467 respondents and and interviews with nine executives, representing more than 21 industries and 136 countries.

?Learning Capabilities vary by organization

Learning Capabilities matrice

Researchers defined the organizational learning as an organization’s capability to change its knowledge through experience.

  • They defined AI-specific learning as the measure of organizations’ use of AI for learning.
  • Augmented Learners: Organizations that score high on organizational learning and AI-specific learning.
  • Limited Learners: Organizations that score low on organizational learning and AI-specific learning.

?Augmented Learners consistently outshine their competitors

Manage uncertainly by learning category advancement

Researchers noticed that organizational learning alone or AI-specific learning alone offers some benefits, but their combination represents the most powerful hedge against multiple types of uncertainty.

Organizational learning with AI may well prove to be a source of resilience against other forms of disruptions or uncertainty.

?Utilizing AI to Enhance Financial Performance

Benefits of AI

?? Researchers discovered that organizations using AI to improve organizational learning are 1.4 times more likely Over the past three years, AI has created additional business value.

Also researchers found that organizations that combine AI and organizational learning are significantly more likely to have realized revenue benefits from AI compared with companies that excel at organizational learning but not learning with AI, and with companies that excel at AI-specific learning but not organizational learning.

?? Finally, researchers have identified five practical and actionable steps to enhance organizational learning with AI:

??Simultaneously advance both organizational learning and AI-specific learning: One starting place is to assess organizational and AI-specific learning in the enterprise. This is not a knowledge management audit. Rather, it’s an assessment of organizational learning that includes support for new ideas, employee perceptions of organizational learning, and the ways workers use AI to learn

?? Learn to explore with AI: Augmented Learners are twice as likely to use traditional AI to explore new ways of creating value than limited learners.

?? Accelerate learning with AI: AI can help enterprises improve their organizational learning.

?? Choose projects that promote learning: Viewing projects as learning opportunities increases their potential value.

?? Learn responsibly: Deliberately apply responsible AI practices to ensure that knowledge capture and dissemination represent established learning principles and values.

?? ???? ???????????????? ????????:

This insightful research uncovered fascinating patterns regarding the advantages of advanced organizational learning capabilities. However, it’s concerning that only a few companies have developed a robust AI learning roadmap to capitalize financially. This is likely due to the high cost of such investments and the challenge of finding the right leaders to guide them towards becoming ‘Augmented Learners,’ as researchers have termed it.

Nicolas BEHBAHANI research insightful and significant fact “15% of organizations have high levels of learning,” highlights the complexity of effectively integrating AI into organizational culture. The mission of AI is to help leaders improve business development and deliver greater value to stakeholders. While organizations generally understand this goal, uncertainties arise regarding aspects such as mindset changes, security, approach, communication, training, investment, measurement, adjustments, possible initial losses, patience and long-term commitment. The pertinent question is: how many companies are willing to make this effort and have the commitment and confidence to see AI as a differentiating tool?

Interesting insights! The link between organizational and AI-specific learning is powerful. While AI can amplify learning, it’s crucial to ensure a balance where humans stay agile and resilient, especially when managing uncertainty. It’s not just about integrating technology but fostering a culture of continuous, responsible exploration and growth. Excited to see how more organizations embrace this.

Nicolas BEHBAHANI Very useful research. If AI is about providing information that improves decision making to create stakeholder value and if learning is about accessing and using information ,then the combination clearly helps both people and organizations make progress. And, as the research shows, if only 15% of organizations do both AI and learning, this is a major competitive advantage for those who do both. thanks again for sharing.
