Jury Verdict for Plaintiff Following Forensic Weather Consultants Testimony at Trial

Jury Verdict for Plaintiff Following Forensic Weather Consultants Testimony at Trial

In this case where Forensic Weather Consultants was retained as weather experts, the Plaintiff indicated that he slipped and fell on ice outside of a place of business in New York. The defense argued that there was no ice outside of this business and that the plaintiff did not slip and fall because of the weather or ground conditions. John Lombardo, a Forensic Meteorologist with Forensic Weather Consultants, conducted a detailed and site-specific weather analysis to determine what the weather conditions were. During trial testimony this week, Mr. Lombardo testified that the various weather records he analyzed indicated that the weather conditions at the incident location indicated that ice could have been present where the plaintiff stated he slip and fell on ice. In addition, any ice that was present was there for at least 6 hours or more. The plaintiff testified that he observed ice on the ground after he fell which is consistent with the meteorological records and findings. The jury returned a Plaintiff verdict.?

As with any case involving the weather or ground conditions, retaining a Forensic Meteorologist can make or break a case. Using numerous sources of weather information, we'll determine what the weather conditions were at the incident location. Sometimes the weather records from the nearest airport or weather underground station can be wrong.

Fantastic job! Sounds like hiring a solid, knowledgeable meteorologist was the key factor that brought the case to victory. It has been my experience that this is the case, more often than not.
