Junior Financial Accountant

A start-up Company?weeks the services of a young, vibrant Accountant to join their Team which is based in Montague Gardens, Cape Town.

?Duties and Responsibilities

·??????Capture and document all financial transactions for debtors and creditors

·??????Capturing of bank statements as well as prepare bank reconciliation

·??????Prepare & allocate monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations for approval

·??????Create beneficiaries on banking system

·??????Upload payments and payment batches onto banking system

·??????Liaise with suppliers and customers and follow up and resolve queries where necessary

·??????Prepare of monthly and annual audit files

·??????Effectively communicate with auditors regarding audit queries

·??????Capturing of petty cash as well as prepare petty cash reconciliation for approval

·??????Prepare and maintain asset register

·??????Prepare monthly VAT and EMP Recon as well as liaise with SARS should there be any discrepancies

·??????Prepare monthly payroll

·??????Prepare annual budgets and forecasts

Requirements and skills

·??????Bookkeeping or Accounting qualification

·??????Minimum of 2-year experience

·??????MS Office – Excel, Word, Outlook – advanced

·??????Experience with accounting software

·??????Self-Motivated with the ability to work independently

·??????Positive attitude

·??????Strong communication skills
