I remember the first time I really understood what Juneteenth was all about. It hit me hard – this day commemorates such an important moment in history. This pivotal day, commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, is not just a historical milestone but a call to action for us all to push for freedom and equality, especially in our workplaces.

As we celebrate Juneteenth, it’s an opportune time to start meaningful conversations about DEI within our organizations. Here are a few ways you can leverage this important day to enhance your DEI efforts:

1. Educate and Raise Awareness: Host educational sessions that delve into the history and significance of Juneteenth. Encourage employees to share their experiences and perspectives, creating a space for open dialogue and learning.
