June’s Inspiring Journey

June’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. After bravely battling cancer, she faced redundancy following 30 years of dedicated service. This unexpected turn of events shattered her self-esteem and confidence. Financially strained, she had to rely on her savings to get by during her recovery period, adding to her stress and uncertainty about the future.

However, June’s story took a positive turn with the support of Upturn Enterprise dedicated talent coach and intensive one-on-one sessions. These interventions played a crucial role in helping her rebuild her confidence and self-belief. Slowly but surely, June began to rediscover herself.

Fast forward 12 months, and June is now cancer-free. Her confidence and self-esteem have returned, and she has found a renewed passion for helping others. She has become deeply involved in raising funds and support for cancer, excelling at organising fundraising events and creating a strong community of support in her local area. Her efforts have not only raised significant funds but also brought people together, fostering a sense of community and providing emotional and practical support to many.

June’s impact on her community has been profound. She has become a beacon of hope and inspiration, connecting with others and sharing her story to create a supportive network for those affected by cancer. Her dedication has strengthened the sense of community, making a real difference in the lives of many.

Today, June works part-time as a healthcare receptionist while continuing her volunteer work and fundraising for Macmillan. Her story is a testament to resilience and the power of community support. June’s journey from redundancy and recovery to becoming a pillar of her community is truly inspiring. Her dedication to helping others and her ability to overcome personal challenges make her an amazing lady.
