Quote Tool (Bubble) for Project Flow
Midcoast Council is currently seeking feedback from the community for its new draft Local Environmental Plan (LEP), which outlines the planning controls and framework guiding development in MidCoast. By aiming to consolidate three Local Environmental Plans into one, the new LEP aims to provide the community with greater certainty and a consistent approach to the development happening in MidCoast.?
While the Quote Tool is typically used to showcase quotes, Midcoast has uniquely set it to a bubble style that creates a block with a downward point. This example not only serves as a page break when spaced throughout a project's page but also highlights the next section and directs the flow of information. This splendid example by Midcoast effectively denotes different project sections (such as About, snapshots of zones, and how to find out more) to guide the reader's eye downward to see what comes next.
Highlighting Key Dates and Timelines
Northern Beaches Council is planning to improve sporting, community, and recreational opportunities at North Narrabeen Reserve (including the area commonly referred to as Rat Park). The Council is actively seeking input from the community to review the master plan and to provide feedback. To keep residents informed of what stage they are at of the project, Northern Beaches have utilized digital content tools to showcase its progress.
While timelines are easily shown in Social Pinpoint, Northern Beaches Council has led the way by using the Facts tool to highlight important key dates that participants need to know. This is applied by highlighting in colour the start and close date for the consultation as well as including a manual count of submissions made.

Personalise Your Engagement With Who's Listening
The City of Pittsburgh is actively inviting residents to share their priorities and feedback for future improvements to Baxter Park. This plan will aim to achieve the following goals:
Using engagement tools like Faces and Contact Us, the City of Pittsburgh has listed the people working on this project who are interested in the community’s feedback - this is a very effective way to personalise engagement. Well done, Pittsburgh, for adding the simple element of trust to the project through transparency and helping people understand who they are engaging with!?

Link Your Project to Your Strategic Plan
Hepburn Shire Council is actively calling for a youth representative to join the project advisory group to assist in the investigation of a community hub at Daylesford Town Hall. The investigation would assess whether Daylesford Town Hall could be refurbished to include a library and multi-purpose community spaces for meetings, functions, performances, and events.
Most organizations have a strategic plan or mission statement guiding their projects and online engagement. However, some projects often appear disconnected from these statements, leading to questions like, "Why are you doing this?" Hepburn, however, has successfully addressed this by using the right-hand sidebar layout to add links to its strategic plan. This approach clearly shows where each project fits within the broader organizational goals.
We hope you found these examples inspiring.?
See you in July!
