June’s Case Study Spotlight

Zelus Sports is the only UK-based company with the rights to distribute Nike Teamwear – customisable apparel and equipment from the sports and leisurewear giant. The company was formed in 2019 and has grown quickly by serving grassroots teams, schools, and universities, as well as professional clubs and federations around the world. It offers an end-to-end service, from design to fulfilment.?

As a Nike Inc. exclusive authorised licensee for Team Sports, Zelus is a fast-growing, fast-paced start-up with the power of the Nike brand behind it. That impressive brand recognition has powered fierce growth – but also means that the business quickly found its back-end systems failing to keep up with the size and operations of the company it had become. With highly ambitious growth plans over the next five years, it was time to introduce an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution.?

At the end of 2023, the open-source ERP solution Odoo got an update with version 17. This intuitive and cost-effective ERP solution is now well established in the marketplace, with a large and active community of users.?? ?

Version 17 brings many new features, many of which have been added specifically to address the needs of manufacturing businesses. Odoo 17 includes several important updates and additions that will help manufacturers. These include improved work centre planning support; components demand; orders overview improvements; streamlined bill of materials; and a revamp of the work orders list view.?
